Hello VisaJourney Forum Members !

This is my first post, So like i said Hello.

My question regarding the cover letter for K1 visa Form I129F is, What is the address i am supposed to use on the cover letter ?

The example from VisaJourney process chart says (Address of your Service Center).

I am in Colorado, and "My Service Center" is in Nebraska... When i search the Nebraska service center.. it says I-129F's go to California.

The instructions for I-129F says to send it to Dallas.. ???

Where do i send the I-129F ? And what address do i put on the cover sheet ?

They do try to confuse you well dont they ?

Thanks in Advance !!

Slim

you seen to be confused where to send your file, i suggest you call the customer service center ask them, i-800-375-5283

I do not think i am confused as where to file. Its the address of uscis for the cover letter that i was in search of.. I know to file I-129F to Dallas.

Apparently it is processed in California.. So the cover letter should contain the address for the office reviewing the File and cover letter.

Thanks for you help though.. it is appreciated.

Hi there,

The address on cover letter and letters of intent to marry should be to the National Visa Center, where all immigrant petitions are sent to be processed once approved through USCIS Texas.

National Visa Center

Attn: CMR

31 Rochester Avenue, Suite 200

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

Ref: http://www.**.com/immigrant-visa/national-visa-center-nvc.html

Unfortunately I only discovered this today. We have just sent our petition and I had the address for local USCIS office (Virginia for us) on the cover letter and letters of intent as it suggested on this website ... Grr. I hope it doesnt affect our petition. Does anyone know? Just have to hope and pray it doesnt...

You POST the package to:

For U.S. Postal Service:

USCIS P.O. Box 660151 Dallas, TX 75266

For Express mail and courier deliveries:

USCIS Attn: I-129F 2501 South State Highway 121 Business Suite 400 Lewisville, TX 75067

Thankfully this is clear as crystal on the instructions form.

Do you mean the inside address on the actual letter? I don't think that the inside address on the intent to marry letter matters, as long as the required content is there. On the one I did back on 2004, I put the VSC address on the intent to marry letter, and it flew just fine.

But I could be wrong, as maybe I just got away with something. I don;t think so, though, as I have not read one single RFE report here due to the wrong inside address on the letter.

This is not correct. Texas does not approve petitions. They simply do the intake and forward to California or Vermont Service Centers. Those are the only two service centers that review and approve petitions.

Hi Coconut,

Oh I'm new to this, but I was basing it on the four service centers indicated on this website here..

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php

It says there are four: California, Nebraska, Vermont, Texas

Is this wrong?

Anyhoo my panic is over, spoke to immigration lawyer and he said it should be either the National Visa Center or Texas Service Centre but that we should be fine. I'm so bogged down with detail so afraid of any RFE that will delay it !

Good luck in your interview !!! :)

Hi there,

Yes I mean just for the letters of intent and cover letter in the petition. Anyhoo my panic is over, spoke to immigration lawyer and he said either the National Visa Center or Texas(/relevant) Service Centre is what it should say but we will be fine. Hooray! Yes I hadnt seen anyone getting RFE for it either but just wanna rule everything out. Thanks!

While there are four, only two service centers (California and Vermont) actually work with K1 petitions.

And thanks. :)
