I just called the NVC AVR and it said our pacakge has been reviewed and some information has been missing and they have mailed it back on 3 december. Do you know who do they send it to? To the beneficiary or to the petitioner I m tensed nw...more days added for the case to complete please share ur experiences

They should send it back to CSC/VSC who will then issue an RFE for whatever is missing of they wll fix it if their own paperwork is missing. There has been a spat of thus happening so I suspect there is a new form that the service centers aren't used to including.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Hi! Im sorry, but I was just little bit confused of what is RFE.

I am newbie filers and also new here in VJ and I am not really familiar on RFE. How I can check RFE on NVC?

12May2010 - USCIS (INITIAL REVIEW)

17May2010 - second touch (INITIAL REVIEW)

06Oct2010 - (POST DECISION ACTIVITY)Petition approved and forwarded our case to NVC

18Oct2010 - Received Email frm NVC and notice to pay the AOS

22Oct2010 - Paid the AOS (88$) "IN-PROCESS"

28Oct2010 - Received Email from NVC (receipt&cover letter)"PAID"

28Oct2010 - Sent Cover letter and DS-3032

18Nov2010 - Paid IV Bill (404$) for the visa. "IN-PROCESS"

20Nov2010 - Payment status "PAID"

22Nov2010 - Sent DS-230 and Additional supporting docs.

25Nov2010 - THANKSGIVING DAY!

16Dec2010 - Called NVC and told us we got an RFE

16Dec2010 - RFE Sent (Original Marriage Cert. and birth Cert.)

23Dec2010 - NVC received our checklist letter response

11Jan2011 - S.I.F

13Jan2011 - Case Complete

24Jan2011 - Interview Appointent Scheduled

08Feb2011 - Day 1 Medical Exam

09Feb2011 - Day 2 Medical Exam

Interview date:February 18, 2011 @ 6:45am - APPROVED!!!

POE - Chicago Illinois ~02March2011~

When should we expect to recv anything to rectify RFE how lone can it take to send us the docs so tht we can fix it

An RFE is a Request for Evidence from either the service center or NVC. It just means there's something missing in what you sent them. SOmetimes it can be outdated and you HAVE already sent what they request (usually more at NVC stage)

Unfortunately, you cant do anything other than wait for them to contact you, even if you know something is missing.

18/11/11: RFE received requesting AOS packet (which had already been sent)

21/11/11: RFE received requesting 2010 tax return

22/11/11: Sent 2010 tax return

29/11/11: CASE COMPLETE!!!

10/12/11: Medical @ Bentnick Mansions

30/01/12: Interview @ 9am [APPROVED!!]

01/02/12: Passport with visa inside, and medical packet arrive via courier

02/03/12: Flight to Denver!

Call and speak to a rep, ask them to review the information and if they can tell you what is missing. That way you can start preparing the documentation you need to send. I did that and that's how I found out that there were passport photos missing. Good luck.

If you have not already, you should talk to a live person there at NVC. I heard something that sounds the same on my AVR,,,and then when I spoke to a live person she said it's just normal processing. Then two days later the AVR said something different,,,something like they are processing the IV form...recieved etc.
