now, the waiting time for the passport is killing me!!! we badly want to book ticket for the 24th but we can't do so until we have my passport. guys, let us update each toehr once we have our visas in hand! =)

Yes, this will be a painful wait. My wife is a teacher so she needs a good two weeks to put her reports in the students records as there is only a couple of months left in the school year. Plus the hospital I work for will be inspected the last week of January so I wont be able to take time off and ticket prices are so much cheaper in February. February seems to be the date for me.

Hello Everyone! My congratulations to all who passed interview already and got visas and good luck to everyone who is having interview soon.

I am not an active member here but i found a lot of useful information on the forum, thank you very much for sharing.

I had interview on 4th of January in Kazakhstan and got passport with visa already, but the only problem is that they gave me CR1 instead of IR1. I read that it's not a big problem coz i can ask an officer to give me permanent green card for 10 years at airport. Please tell me won't i have any problems with getting permanent green card with an officer or should I contact to embassy about this mistake?

Thank you in advance and good luck everyone with upcoming interview!

Omg ! I'm so happy for everyones visa approval! I'm get g really antsy. I sent the interview packet to my husband last week and it still hasn't been delivered to him. It's Friday in the Philippines right now and his interview is on Tuesday. I don't know if they deliver on Saturdays (I hope they doooo) but if he doesn't get it on monday I'll have to reschedule the interview. Ticket prices for feb is much cheaper so I guess it wouldn't be too bad if his interview gets pushed back... But the wait and not knowing if it's going to be approved is killing me... I hope I pray and pray and pray that the package comes soon. I sent it through express mail international with USPS, I don't know y it's taking this long! :(

Congrats to all the approvals... IndigoSkies and johndoe u guys are up next! Good luck!!

Congrats Hunniraine :)

Thank you to everyone who has congratulated us :).

My husband gave me a general run down of what happened. Basically the common theme of waiting was there and the generic questions of who is the petitioner and where do I live. The first interviewer threw in some trickery of trying to convince my husband that I have a sister instead of a brother (the CO did the same thing). The first interviewer was hounding my husband about why my family wasn't present at the wedding. Both the first interviewer and the CO were shaking their heads as they looked over the documents and evidence of our marriage (which my husband offered to the first person and was accepted) but the CO never asked to see anything. After all of the scoffing and head shaking my husband figured he was doomed but as you all know, that wasn't the case.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the treatment he received. I know that it is a good thing to be scrutinized a bit. I think I am more proud of my husband who was a giant ball of nerves and not actively in the process the whole time (I did all of the paperwork) yet he pulled this off. :star:

Ok, I'm going to be quiet now :)

Good luck to the upcoming interviews :)
