This is my first post. I spent much of the last few days readying my K-1 petition and supporting docs to send in on Monday. I did one last check of the USCIS website and found, much to my surprise, good news. As of November 23, 2010, the fee for the K-1 petition is being reduced from $455 to $340 for submissions postmarked on or after November 23. For that kind of money, I can wait a day to submit.

I was stoked, but some of you may be gnashing your teeth. If this hasn't been posted before, perhaps folks like me who were about to send in the petition can wait a couple of days and save some money. Many other fees are being adjusted as well. Link below.

yeah it's been posted on here for months. The fees for AOS (the stage when you enter the US) has gone up, more or less swallowing the price saving now.

Yah Adelante... I noticed the same thing. Was too late for me though! lol. How rude! But that's just how this cooke crumbles. Glad you're saving a little. You'll need that money in the future. TRUST!

Yep, good for you.

As my luck would have it, fee increases have followed me throughout our immigration process, so have fee decreases eluded me. I filed the 129f in March for $455, now it's less. My fiancee had to pay $350 for her visa because the fees went up over $200 just 2 weeks before (was $130 before June 4) she received her interview date.

Now we filed AOS, thankfully we were able to get everything together and out this time before the AOS fee increase took effect in a few days. We'll have to pay more for Removal of conditional residence too but that's at least 2 years out. I'm crossing my fingers they won't decide to increase fee for naturalization just before we're ready to file for that. But i won't hold my breath
