LOTS OF IT!

 Every once in awhile, I'll get in the mood to hear some, but most of the time, I'd rather leave it in the past.

The other night, while driving and listening to the radio, Wham's Jitterbug came on. Now Joshua sings, "Wake me up before you go-go."

This song was popular in the mid 90's even on MTV I believe. Maybe someone, anyone, would have heard it too?? I loved the song also haha so much so that I learned the song on my guitar. Can still play that bass line. MxPx is the main reason I wanted to start learning how to play guitar from my dad when I was 16. Funny stuff.

So does that mean you are my parents' age?? Or you have an old soul. I'm thinking now that you are just old.

The very first album I remember buying is "Disraeli Gears" - Cream/Clapton - That absolutely blew me away

I bought that album on vinyl when I was a teenager in the early 70's, but it's not the first I remember buying. It is awsome.

The first two albums I remember buying as a teenager are these:

Rainbow Bridge is the best Hendrix album of all time IMO, but the movie sucked except for the concert footage. I saw it way back when. I never saw Hendrix live, but saw Steppenwolf live a couple of times.

I have an eclectic taste in music, so I don't really look at music as something that defines me. It's more like a soundtrack to my life. I listen to whatever catches my fancy at any particular moment.

I'm also kind of fond of those old bouncy Country & Western songs with plenty of steel guitar, bass guitar, electric guitar, and fiddle from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Outlaw country music too. There are too many favorites to list.

I really liked grunge rock when it came out. Stuff like Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Soundgarden, etc. The Offspring are a favorite too. Their lyrics are hilarious.

I'm not into rap, but some old hip-hop is OK. I liked the old video of Aerosmith and Run DMC doing "Walk this Way". It was hilarious. Tone Loc had a couple of tunes I liked.

I loved MTV when it first came out in the early 80's. Back when it was a visual radio station. Some really cool videos came out back then. I had a huge crush on Martha Quinn. MTV pretty much sucks now. Not my demographic anymore.

These are just a few genres that come to mind. My taste in music is too varied to list them all.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995
