My husband has an incomplete vaccination record from his country. He has the the MMR Vaccination done can someone please tell me what other Vaccination he needs. I am told two different things from different clinics. I am told that He needs Varicella and Tetinus, but another clinic told me he needs the Tetinus and Hepatitis B. So I am unsure of what shots he needs.

Please Please Help!

I am about to file the AOS package, hopefully before the fees go up, but I was wondering what it means Vaccination transcription? I keep seeing that and I am not sure what that means. Can someone please explain that to me. I know its a dumb question. I am sorry.

hi,,, i just sent my AOS last week.. i believe that vaccination transcription is the records they gave her after her thorough medical examination in her home country. she has to present that to a USCIS licensed physician here in the US and they will complete the record and give you guys the sealed I-693 for the USCIS and a personal copy. good luck! :)

Exactly....since you need to have a licensed physician by USCIS fill out the form for you they need to acknowledge your records when it comes to vaccinations, TB test and STDs. If you already have all that covered by a prior exam and get that in writing the mandatory USCIS doctor's exam will be quick and easy (they still need to do that, no way around it).

Good luck with your journey!!

No wrong.

A DS-3025 is the vaccination schedule you receive from your medical in your home country.

A vaccination transcription is when a CS here in the US transcribes the info from the DS-3025 into the table in part 2 of the I-693 (as well as telling you if you need any further shots).

Without seeing his schedule we can't tell you what he "needs". I can tell you he doesn't need Hep B (unless he fits certain criteria.. as in I have NEVER had a Hep B shot.. ever).

Here is the list from USCIS: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=3384cc5222ff5210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=6abe6d26d17df110VgnVCM1000004718190aRCRD

Here is the table that will help you see if your husband requires certain ones, note that HPV is no longer required: http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/PDF/wk/mm5901-Immunization.pdf page 2, first table tell you the age requirements (yellow highlights are required). If you read table 2 on page 2, you can see whether any of the purple from table 1 are required.

Basically you just need to pick a CS. Either one is going to sign off on the form and that's good enough for USCIS, even if they're saying different things. I would pick the cheapest.

Have you tried your local government medical center? I had my varicella shot last week and it was free. I was told that they are free at the moment (where I am) but they may start charging again soon.

My daughter had to have other shots for school and most of them were free and I paid $10 for one. Can't remember which.

It's worth looking into......
