When looking on the case status page, it shows my I-129F was recieved on 8-15-06 and last update as 8-18-06. Will i get more items in this list or will the same line date change. Thanks!

If they show an updated date, that means they touched your petition. Touches are pretty random, some people get them, a lot, or some people don't. Sometimes they mean approval is coming, sometimes they mean an RFE is coming.

I've read online here at this site that some people NEVER get touched at all during the entire process and even when they're approved they get no touch on the USCIS case status page. They just receive the NOA2 in the mail one day. Surprise!! And then there are people here who seem to get touched alot. I don't know if touches are good, bad, indifferent or not. I'm early in this process and I haven't been touched since I got my NOA1 in the mail and I registered on the case status page... yet a couple of people who filed at the same time I did and got their NOA1's at the same time, have already been touched once or twice.

I think Tim&Poonam is asking that in case they get new touches, will there be a list of the touches they've gotten or will only the new one be shown. I'm not familiar with this, since, well, i dont know if my puter has problems or the USCIS site, but it doesnt show any touch for me after July 15 lol. Maybe someone else can help with this.

From what I've seen, I don't believe there will be a list of how many touches you get...only that the date will change when and if you do get them. But like what was said previously, it's random...some people get a lot, some none, some in between but you never know if it's a good or bad thing...the only thing you can contemplate is that they're (CIS) is doing something. So just sit back, relax and focus more of your time with your S/O rather than stressing over CIS's incompetence. Good luck to ya!

how true is the update list on uscis for the cases. I really cannot believe that a file is sitting there for 2 months without being touched....I know german offices work that way but I thought they were actually the only one!!!

No, there won't be a list of touches. They simply change the date, but don't change the status.
