Almost certainly not. The only impact the new congress could possibly have would be passing laws pertaining to immigration. That won't happen for months after the January opening of Congress [if ever!] and any laws would take months more to take effect.

Your case will stand or fall on it's own merits, according to the current guidelines for adjudication. There is no reasonable possibility that any act of congress will change these in the next 6-8 months.

Very unlikely- even if they wanted to change the rules/ do an amnesty or whatever, it would take a year or more to get through.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
