Guys is there a suggested time to call the NVC - my wife has tried constantly today but keeps getting the busy signal. is there a less busy time of day, or is it just as and when you luck out?

I have seen afternoon time is good. Mornings and evenings are busy packed.

Now if everybody starts calling at noon time, noon will be busy, then mornings and evenings will be free

Richi, you need to re-dial again and again until you get the line. I have tried morning, afternoon, evening and night and currently noon seems to be the best.

It usually takes me about an hour of constant redialing to get into the system and about another hour to actually get a human on the line. I have noticed, as loto said that noonish (EST) seems to be a little quicker.

Yes, my wife finally got thru! She was able to give them our email address' and also putin an expedite request. They told her she didnt need to send in the i864 or 864a yet, just the request letter and supporting evidence. No mention of an IIN yet?

I have emailed the DS 3032 though to the NVC today.

I think it might slightly prolong due to the expedite request, but we are going to be consistent, and if the expedite request goes through Im hopeful of an interview in December, as it is indeed urgent. If we didnt request it, I think it would look odd - for our case anyway.

I don't know if this is helpful at all, but I just reached NVC (after getting a busy signal for about 15 minutes). While waiting for an operator to answer, the automated voice said "For faster service, call between 8-10 am or 6-6:45 pm Eastern time. So...these the not-so-busy times? Just a thought.

Yeah. All the NVC ones are out back chain smokin' from 6:00 - 6:45.

I got through today - about 3pm EST - and about 10 mins on hold. Not too bad.

Use my trick to get connected with NVC anytime. You gottta have a touch tone phone that has a end call and redial button. Call the NVC number. As soon as you hear the busy signal, end the call using end call button. Then hit redial right away. Do this until you get connected. I always get connected with 10 tries. Usually, it's more like 2 or 3 tries. This working during morning, night, evening, noon, etc. Maximum holding time I had to endure is 26 minutes. On average, expect to hold for 'bout 25 minutes.

I got through both on Monday and today (Wed morning)

Both times the operators were nice ( I was the same on the phone )

My NOA 2 was on Oct 26th and I have my mailing of the NOA 2 also.

Each time when I called the answer was they are allowed 15 business days before they will have a case number.

On the second call I asked if there was a received date of the case at NVC. I was told that there isn't anything in the system yet for the case.

So, here I am I know there are people you have gotten there case numbers within three to 7 or 8 days so I wondering if there was a particual approach in how the converstation with the operator went that allowed had them give the information to the person (if in general they are waiting 15 days before give out info)

The AVR system message last weekend and on Tuesday gave response that the case hasn't been received also.

Oh Well I call again this Wed Evening.

All the dates quoted by NVC operators are their corporate message. They will say 4-6 weeks even if realistically your case takes only 1 day. The best way to gaze the actualy time is to look at our timelines in our signature. Look at mine. Look at Loto's. And many others.
