Please can someone here advice me, I am from Nigeria, I was issued RFE on Birth Certificate, I previously submitted my Age Declaration of my birth sworn by me in the Notary public to USCIS. In the affidavit i stated that my birth Certificate was obtained, registered and got lost in the transit as i was told by my mother. When i made an inquiry through my sister to verify about the records through the Local govt about my birth to get a Certify true copy from my local Govt, I was told that my birth was not on record at the time i was born.

It is on the basis of this information that i need an advice on what to re-submit to USCIS on the issue of Birth Certificate, If i obtained a non avaliable Certificate from the Local Govt in my country with other supporting documents to prove my Birth, Will it have negative effect on my case since i have previously submitted to the USCIS the affidavit i got from home country which stated that it was registered and obtained and later got lost in transit.

Please can someone advice me on what to do , I am just confused

what they really want to see on the birth certificate is the information about you and your parents.i dont know if those information were submitted during your declaration of age.

ask your dad or mum to make another affidavit stating all this information

if you are a christian you can also use your baptism certificate along with the sworn affidavit of your parent.

please who told you that your information is not on the record.

thanks

moved from US Citizenship Discussion forum as topic does not relate to US Citizenship. As it appears to be a country specific request, I am moving the thread to the appropriate Regional Forum. A duplicate thread without any responses, also in the US Citizenship Discussion Forum, has also been removed as it is not necessary to post a question more than once.

In addition to the Affidavit from his mother (father deceased), my husband gave a 10th class certificate which mentioned his date of birth, place and father's name. I don't know if you have any other documents which gives your birth info like that? They might like to see them.

Guys, Can anyone share his or experience for the RFE on birth certificate... I could not get birth certificate from my local government since i was born before the NPC was formed.

Can anybody pls advise me on what to send to USCIS

I have arranged to get the following

1. declaration of age from Nigeria by my aunt

2,. Affidavit sworn by my brother

3. Primary school certificate issued long time showing the year it was issued and my age at that time

4. My pgd result has my date of birth

I initially sent confirmation that i am from the local government and affidavit sworn by my brother to the USCIS(rfe issued based on this)

The local government refuse to write a letter of unavailability

Pls advise Urgently
