Comments : my case could have been completed by may but i was in canada since last year dec and my return ticket to uk was june 2nd and my ticket to lagos from uk was june 10th.got to nigeria june 11th,did my police certificate and got it same day(knew an officer)and send all the civil documents and other requested ones via dhl same day 11th june 2010 and the package was received by desmond.got my visa easily and waited till sep 10th to use my return ticket to u.k,bought American airline for sep 11th and left heathrow 08.30am to baltimore via new york.my sad period was when i missed my connecting fleight to baltimore and was at the gate 15mins before departure.please be at your gate early when you are in the u.s for connection.got to new york and queued where residents are and went to the immigration officer, told him my port of entry is baltimore and said no problems but requested for the package, stamep me in and sent me into the hall, fingerprinted and signed withing 3 mins i was released to go.am so glad to be home.

Embassy Review : hello vjs am well pleased to give my experience during my interview in lagos.on the faithful 25th day of august i set my alarm for 4am but could not wait for the alarm so i woke 3.30am and left my house ogijo by 4.20am which is after ikorodu and with speed limit of 60 i got there 5.30 there about but took me some other 15mins before i could park my car in the pay parking lot by 6am i had already parked and join the league of renewal, immigrant and dv standing for instructions, people with big envelops are for immigrant so we are well identified.some mins before the interview a security guy announced that the queue start by 6.30am with renewals and immigrant applicants were asked to open their x-ray and open the medical result sealed in a white envelop cos you wont be allowed to go in with sealed envelops anyway.few mins to 7am we were asked to line up and i was the no 3 on the line and we were about 20-25 by 7.35 i was in and 15mins after i was called for the pre-screening of my documents.please make sure you go with more of the passport 5cmby5cm cos i was asked to present 3 passport size instead of 2 that i had in mind thank GOD i had extras and she requested for my copy of birthcert and i also had one so she told me that am ok but i should wait for the interview, went back to my seat waiting and there came 2 women and a male all the while i was there i was looking around to see the famouse asian lady and indeed saw her and was happy i did even thought she will be there to grant interview but GOD seized her and was not among the cos(smiled).the young white lady reviewd my documents and called my number i.v 3 and walked up and greeted her and she responded brought out my folder which has been lebelled for easy pick of documents and my full pixture album placed it on the arm rest to also intimidate her.the interview began with
taking the oats i mentioned my names during the oats unlike other people then she showed me my form and asked the following questions.

1)asked are you olaniyan oluwadamilola and i said yes
2)when did your wife travelled.
3)why didnt you go with her.
4)where does she works
5)do we have children
6)she said have applied for visiting visa on 2 occasion to visit her and i quickly corrected her and said yes i applied twice.the first one was to visit my aunty and the second one was to visit my wife during her birthday and she said ok fine
7)asked me why do i want to join my wife, i said its important for me to be with my family after been apart for years and she laughed and said my medical and my marriage is genuine and am eligible for the immigrant visa.i said thanks to her and asked me to wait while she print my collection instruction papers.she brought the paper and showed me where to pick it up in 5 days and the amount i need to take along with my and i said thanks but after collecting the paper she did not say what i expected and i asked her that i was expecting to hear the magic words for eligible applicants and she was lost about it and i quickly reminded her by saying WELCOME TO AMERICA she burst into laughter and eventually said it and i said thank you and have a good day while other applicants were laughing .the interview did not last for 3mins and the lady was just too friendly.despite all my evidences she never ask for any.GOD IS GOOD.

i buildup my confidence inside the embassy and it worked.
my advise is that be free and do your homework before the interview and GOD will take control.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
