2010-11-02: NOA1

2011-03-24: NOA2!!! :)

2011-04-08: Case arrived at Embassy ( tracked through DHL)

2011-04-11/12: Medical at St Lukes

2011-04-25: INTERVIEW :) Earliest slot available online is May 6, called to see if there is an earlier date. Got Apr 25 :)

2011-05-11: POE at LAX Airport

2011-06-25: We got married!

2011-08-02: AOS/ AP/ EAD filed

2011-08-09: AOS NOA1

2011-09-06: Biometrics Appointment

2011-10-20: AOS Interview @ Detroit USCIS

I got my NOA2!!!

I actually got it yesterday but I inadvertently deleted the email. :bonk:

But woohhooo I'm so excited! I hope all the rest of October filers get theirs soon!

June 7, 2010 - Will asked me to marry him, and I said YES!!
October 4, 2010 - Will sent away the I-129F Petition
October 12, 2010 - NOA1 received!
October 15, 2010 - First "touch"
October 18, 2010 - Second "touch"
March 7, 2011 - NOA2!!!
March 18, 2011 - NVC forwarded our case to the Montreal Consulate....NOT where we wanted it to go!
March 25, 2011 - Email from Montreal saying that our case would be forwarded to Vancouver - only took one night for a reply from them smile.png
April 5, 2011 - Vancouver has our package!
April 6, 2011 - Received Packet 3 via email - now just waiting on my police certificate.

Of all the October filers here 16 out of 94 have already received their NOA2 !!!!

Just 78 left to go!! :lol:

Keep trying to get through to a Tier 2 ISO. Don't let them tell you that you are to early to be asking for a service request. If you don't get satisfaction from one person, call back and talk to someone else. Never give up. I got lucky that I talked to the right person on the first try. Make them want to adjudicate your petition so you will stop calling back, but make sure that you are always nice when talking to them. A 'please' and a 'thank you' can go a long way with these people. Good luck to both of you.

Thanks perhaps I'll give it another shot tomorrow. I've been crying for about an hour out of sadness and frustration from this entire process. I'm loosing sleep. None of this is good anymore.

Thanks perhaps I'll give it another shot tomorrow.

Start by asking them to repeat their name employee number so you can write it down - I think it gets their attention. Be persistent ... you are outside of normal processing time and have the right to a service request.

Also, if you haven't already, contact your Congressional Representative and ask them to initialize a service request. I got an answer back from mine in 2 days.

Good luck, and I hope you'll have your answer soon!!!

Asking them to repeat their name and employee number is a good idea! I know when people call me at work and ask me to spell my name to them I'm like 'Uh oh', I better be nice to this person :rofl:

Having a positive skin test for TB only means your immune system has had exposure to the antigen sometime in the past. Most people who are skin test positive will never actually get TB. The sputum is to look for the bacteria. They identify the bacteria using a series of chemical treatments to the specimen. One of the treatments uses acid and if the bacteria remain after this they are deemed to be 'acid-fast' bacteria. I think this is what your fiancee was referring to. The chest x-ray is very important also in this to look for evidence of actual TB disease. Hope all is well for her!
