I been waiting over 2 months since filling my AOS … and i havent received nothing! No Biometric Letter Nothing at all , Im a bit confused on why everything is taking so long??!!

I have called them… the firts time i was told my case was transfer to california … and than it was re transfer to my local location ? and i called again requesting my Biometric Letter… ! Today i actually received a letter from immigration .. Pretty much saying :

Your case is awaiting the required Biometrics submittal and is currently in suspense until you complete this process. Your application information has been entered into our system which schedule applicants for biometrics at their local application support center (ASC) . Biometric appt are scheduled as slots become available at the ASC. Once you have been scheduled for an appt, you will receive an ASC appt notice to appear at a certain date and time…. bla bla bla ..

SO i Know im pretty much in line? for a bio letter appt ?

BUT why was my case transfer to california and than back to chicago …. ( in the other letter i got they said it was to speed up the process ) But if anything its been slowing it down!!! its been 2 months and i have hurd NOTHING about my 3 cases i applied for! ! kind of sucks!! can anyone explain to me why ? why me ? lol !

Thanks!!

hey There,

I know the wait for a bio letter is ridiculous, but you are not alone.

There are people from July still waiting. And if you are from Texas then the news is not that good right now.

I feel bad for those July filers and you, this is not something you can control.I hope each one of you gets the letter soon.rose.gif

The most likely scenerio is that the National Benefit Center (NBC) sent your petition to CSC because they felt you did not need an interview. CSC then thought an interview was needed and sent the petition back.

In the majority of cases the AOS petition is sent to your local office for an interview. I remember one VJer who had their petition sent back and forth from NBC to CSC several times.

Hello,

Yes indeed, many of us are waiting for the Bio letter and I don't know why. Initially it appeared to be the bio letter is sent within the firs or second week of finilin the AOS, but 2 or 3 months is a bit of a strech, espcailly since EVEYTHING on hold until you finish finger printing and photo shoots. So a delay of the Bio letter is a delay for justice.. :bonk: So we did call in today and a nice lady said she will forward an inquiry as to why this dogon thing is taking over 2 moons... :crying:

Good luck to SisJ and to all those sweating it out..:angry:

I waited 4+ months for my bio letter, and finally got an appt with the help of our congressman. My EAD was approved while I was waiting for bio appt, but couldn't be issued until they had my biometrics to put on the card. The effective date of my EAD was Aug 9th, but I just got my card in the mail on Sat. If you are planning on making an EI claim while you are looking for employment I would suggest that you start a basic search now (registering on Monster.com and sending out a few resume's) I enquired about having my EI claim back dated to the date that was on my card, and if I could have provided documentation showing that I had started a job search back then, they would have done it. So that would have been about 7 weeks of benefits paid and around $3000 in my pocket (before taxes).
