First of all, I feel like I am having heart attacks I miss my fiance so much. I am only 27, so don't worry, just a figure of speech. Seriously though, my nerves are shot...

My question is this... I am getting my hopes too high at this point? My file has been "Touched" every day for the past three days. Is it wrong of me to think that this process may be going faster than I expected? I noticed that many people get two Touches then another about a month thereafter. I just want to know already!

06-29-2010: Sent I-129F

06-30-2010: CSC receives package

07-07-2010: CSC NOA1 Dated.

07-08-2010: CSC Check cashed.

07-12-2010: Received Hard Copy of NOA1.

10-27-2010: Touched.(I hope it means they work on my case.)

11-16-2010: Touched.(Come on NOA2, Day 132, still waitting)

11-16-2010: NOA2 Dated.

11-22-2010: NVC DAted.

11-26-2010: NVC to Guang Zhou Consulate

12-17-2010: GZC issued the P3.

12-24-2010: GZC sent out the P3.

12-25-2010: We got the P3 from GZC.

yes your touches are probably just them cashing your check or something or transferring it to the service center were the real wait begins.although touches are exciting to get I wouldnt get too excited at this point......Good Luck :thumbs:

Check was cashed on Touch 1, Touch 2 was at the Service Center, Touch 3 was today....

yes i think so,i have only had one touch,and so far so good.

keep in mind touch at this point in any service center literally just means your case got TOUCHED.nothing more.

there have been people who have gotten no touches and got approved like in no time,and people who got millions of touches and are still waiting,nearly five months later

They probably just spilled coffee on it and had to move it from desk to desk. Yes you have many months in front of you.

We're together now and it's wonderful.

Skype video conferencing...just like being there. We did that almost every day.

I love these kinds of discussions. 'Touches mean nothing.' It really makes it look like these people sit around and play all day, occasionally spilling their beverages on your file (causing a touch) or needing to move a box of them (causing a touch) to play a game or getting fed up with having so many papers around, thus moving another box into the closet (causing a touch). Every once in a blue moon, they actually sit down, look at, and approve your petition...but in that case, they forget to scan it, causing NO TOUCH! =)

Every once in a blue moon, they actually sit down, look at, and approve your petition...but in that case, they forget to scan it, causing NO TOUCH! =)

You need to read this. http://www.visajourney.com/content/adjudicator-q-and-a I know it is a few years old now, but an adjudicator is graded by their job performance. If they are not getting the same number of petitions through as their co-workers they will be up for review.

The members on VJ are only a small portion of the number of petions that come through the doors of either VSC or CSC. The adjudicators have a monumental task on their hands. Frustrating as it is, not knowing what has happened to cause a touch, a touch does mean something.

6-17-13------Sent off I-751 Package

6-19-13------VSC Received our package. Signed for by K. Fitzgerald

6-24-13------Received NOA in the mail, dated 6-20-13

6-24-13------Check Cashed

7-05-13------Received Biometrics Appointment letter in the mail for 7-18-13

7-18-13------Biometrics done

8-20-13------Case Transferred to CSC for further processing

8-24-13------Transfer notice arrived in the mail today

10-21-13----ROC Approved!

10-25-13----Received approval letter in the mail

10-28-13----Production of 10 Yr Green Card ordered

11-01-13----Card has been mailed!....Received USPS tracking number

11-04-13----10yr Green Card arrived in the mail today....Yay!!

I'm just having some fun. The way we talk about it here makes the USCIS office sound like 'THE OFFICE' (TV SHOW); Jim and Dwight messing around with each other and never reading over any petitions...Michael Scott making excuses and playing on YouTube all day lol

Hey, your timeline may be wrong. You can try change your service center with California Service Center or Vermont Service Center(which one has jurisdiction over the place you live), because Texas won't process the petition. CSC/VSC does. To get an estimate date, you need to correct that tiny mistake. :P

I suggest you wrap your head tightly in duct tape. When it explodes you will want to keep all the parts.

Your fiancee will be here 6-9 months from when you filed the petition. The NOA2 (at USCIS) is roughly halfway there, maybe less, depends on the consulate.

04/26/2010 - Met in Philippines (for 2 weeks)

05/08/2010 - Officially engaged!! ( He sent the engagement ring 09/24/2010 and he proposed to me on bended knee in Philippines with the second part of engagement ring) *melting*

06/18/2010 - I-129F package Sent

06/21/2010 - NOA1

06/24/2010 - Touched

09/23/2010 - Touched (when I contacted the Congressman's office)

11/15/2010 - Touched (hopefully the approval)

11/17/2010 - NOA2 (Received hard copy 11/22/2010)

12/01/2010 - Received a letter from DOS dated 11/29/2010 stating that the petition will be forwared to USE AD within a week and that I will received the packets very soon from embassy.

01/18/2011 - Interview. APPROVED!!! No words can express how happy i am.

01/25/2011 - VISA in hand! YAY!!!

02/20/2011 - POE Chicago (O'hare)

05/14/2011 - Our Wedding day
