NVC is all messed up. They probably have it. I called on Monday (21st) and they said they didn't have it, yet I got an email (I emailed them on the 21st asking for my case #) at 7:03AM on the 22nd giving me my case number and apparently they shipped it to the consulate on the 22nd as well.

Hoping they have it! I found best results from them when I emailed and called. Pretty much I would call, get the 2-X weeks etc, then get an email response with the information I was seeking and then would call again to double check what the email said. All in all, for me, it took 8 days from NOA2 (3/14) til they sent it out (3/22).

So I got tired of waiting and called the customer service number today... I was polite but persistent. I didn't like the answers I was getting so I called back three (3) times and ended up speaking to three different tier 2 officers.

They all said I'm still within normal processing time and that I have to wait nineteen (19) more days before they can submit an "outside of normal processing time" request. Nineteen more days will put me just two weeks shy of seven months... OR 195 DAYS. I'm really sick of the waiting and spending two hours on the phone didn't seem to do me any good.

By the way, they really don't care when you tell them about all the people you know who filed after you and are already approved. I used that argument with every one of the six people I talked to and they all said every case is different, which I know is BS because my case hasn't been touched in over five months. If someone looked at it, I know I'd be approved by now.

I guess the bright side of the situation is I have to wait less than 3 weeks before they'll agree to do something.

update on us NVC finally got back to me and they gave us a case number but right now there is a hold on our case will they review my embassy change request. it shouldn't take that long since I am only asking the case to be sent to his embassy in madagascar ( there is only 1 US Embassy in Madagascar that serves Madagascar, Comoros, and Mayotte).

it was so funny when i was talking to a NVC rep today because she was like we need proof, and i said what more proof do you need, he is Comorian, he has a Comoros passport (sent them a scanned copy) its the embassy for his country, he doesnt need a visa to go home. lol

lets just hope it move swiftly

i am also sending off my big #### 3 ring binder next week either monday or wednesday depending on when the translations are ready.
