Hi everyone. I'm feeling so frustrated. We got our receipt notice on 7/2/2010 from VSC. No bio letter as of now. We have not moved or changed anything. I called twice and the second time I called they told us we should get one within 30 days (27 days ago), and were issued a service inquiry number. What should I do now...no word from them yet. Is an infopass appointment appropriate? Is the Dallas biometrics office just that backlogged? Help! I want to cry!

Thanks again.

hi

we are in the same boat, we got our reciept dated on 5-28-10 but no bio appt yet. we put service request and they said your local ASC (which is DALLAS) is backed logged via email. we made info pass but they said the same thing.

i guess we have to wait.

So sorry you're in the boat with me *smile*. However, that does give some comfort. I was afraid that maybe they lost our file, but perhaps they really are that busy. Here's hope that we'll both get our letters soon a long with a speedy green card (if not speedy, at least RFE or interview free). Cheers!

i thought the same thing that they lost our file.but they are other filers in same situation. you should still put a service request to VSC and get the confirmation though.

Hi Journeyman,

I spoke with two separate Immigration Officers with my phone calls, so I think that is of little help at this time. I think I'll schedule an infopass and just hope it's a backlog in the bio office.

Thanks again.

Wow, talk about overreacting. Why do people go nuts when something doesn't conform to the government timetable. The USC's should be used to it by now, the foreigner maybe not so much depending on how efficient their civil service employees are.

Do most people check their status every day on USCIS to see if it has been "touched"?

We just sent my wife ROC form about 2 weeks ago (about 75 days before expiration). We received the receipt/extension letter on Monday and we will probably never bother to even think about this whole thing any further until the interview (if there's one) or until the new GC arrives in the mail. Being so busy, how do people have time to think about these things.

Wow Eric,

I'd never dream of making such a rude post to someone just because we are concerned about our immigration status. I don't believe I'm over reacting because on the July filers thread nearly everyone has had a bio and many have already gotten their green cards. Perhaps you should read your replies before you post to avoid sounding so rude. This website here is for support and help and that's exactly what I was seeking....my intent was not to annoy you.

Thanks to everyone else who has been helpful, it's very reassuring.

Here is Removing of Conditions forum and OP is talking about biometrics at ROC (after AOS);)

We had a similiar problem. I called our senator and his staff got things squared away in 1 day.

Bullwinkle,

Sorry to confuse you with that time line, that green card was the conditional one we received good for two years after the adjustment of status. I do appreciate knowing that I'm not the only one waiting like this. Sorry for your wait too.

Dakine,

I think that the congressman thing may be an option if we get too close to the year mark.

I just want this process done...and I do admit, I am a little compulsive about getting this process wrapped up. I don't mind waiting, I just get a little paranoid that our file is lost, or something is wrong.

I really appreciate everyone's input.
