Is Europe tiring of its immigrants?

I forgot to add, that this enrichment is and has been viewed as exactly that- enriching. The more extremist, bigoted perspectives will always find a way to confuse that with an immigrant takeover of local governance.

See disrupting something works both ways, I just have my own unique BY style.

While you like to discuss curry, turkey and your indirect opinion of others, I prefer to focus on the fact that not one liberal city comes close to the highly ranked European equivalents. Their crime rates are a good 30 to 90 times lower than that of various Liberal cities.

Speaking of bigot:

A bigot is a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices, especially one exhibiting intolerance, irrationality, and animosity toward those of differing beliefs

Seems to fit you to the tee.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

We never have to be past curry, Marilyn. I am seriously considering trying out that curry gravy.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

No, Europe is not tired of its 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, etc etc etc generation immigrant populations. Some very small right wing factions have ALWAYS hated ALL the immigrant populations that look funny unless of course the immigrants who look funny pretend they don't exist and do all the crappy jobs for nothing. These small right wing factions get a small amount of traction in the greater population when the economy is in the toilet and these right wing factions (who do have teency Nationalist political parties) need a scapegoat of blame and electoral promise of nirvana by means of a magic sleight of hand and promises of making all the pesky funny looking immigrants disappear (even the ones who are n'th generation) AND still do the crappy jobs for nothing. Amazingly, even in Europe there are still flag waving 'ra ra ra' types - they are just not part of the mainstream political system. Proportional representation allows these extreme Nationalist parties a small political voice during these periods of economic difficulty (actually, even in non proportional representation parliaments this can happen - see notes on NI politicians and political influence during small majority/hung parliament situations). When these nationalist influences dominate the political scene what you get is an approximation of National Socialism - which should more properly have always been termed Nationalist Fascism.

Evidently you are confusing the attitude of many like yourself in the UK, for the rest of Europe. Though, one must keep in mind that 5% of the UK is now living abroad; one of the the highest rates of emigration out of any of the advanced European nation.

You have repetitively claimed immigration is good, yet wages for many workers in the UK have fallen to levels almost equivalent of people on the Dole in AUS; in order to compete with Eastern Block migrants. It's also why the #1 country of choice for Brits is AUS and many cannot get there fast enough.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the UK now has one of the toughest stances on illegal immigration, versus the US's pandering.

Unfortunately Europe does not run on country of migrants ideologies, they carefully monitor and gauge their immigration. It's why many have implemented Australia's highly successful points based immigration system. It's why many have enacted legislation and laws mandating new migrants that are not from other first world countries, learn the language and culture of a country before entering. It's why they do not have automatic citizenship by birth policies anymore. It's why France is considering the cancellation of citizenship for anyone for a period of up to ten years. It's why they are also enacting acceptable clothing policies in France.

Yiddish dances around reality do not change reality. Had liberals like yourself not been the butt of jokes in these countries, I'd listen to your opinion on the topic. Unfortunately, the majority of things your ilk stand for are mocked by many abroad. Evidence you ask? Find me which countries have adapted or have liberal yank equivalent policies; for example, sanctuary cities, no limits on freedom, zero religion in their government etc etc etc.

What does your ilk stand for? Just curious.

He is grouping people together because in BY brain if he thinks you are a librul you post 'lock step' with everyone else he has labled 'librul' so you will get a generic response, and you know how well generic responses work, right?

:)

Sorry, I answered a different question too.

Yet he accuses other of this:

Hmmmm.. interesting. It fits the textbook definition of hypocrite.

What you posted is a joke and purely an opinion piece of your own. It does not reflect realty or the countless legislation enacted by various European countries, to stamp out the very same behavior you claim is not an issue.

Riight rigght, your post was not generic in nature, it was specific was it. Are you really that out of it?

Nevertheless, speaking of hypocrite [thanks Spook], you don't like to be grouped together but then you like to group [claim] everyone is the same; that all think, act, behave the same.

Geez, my opinion? Wow, imagine that?. Yes, it was my opinion - one that can be substantiated if you bother to look at the political parties that the citizens of the various European Union countries VOTE for and what these parties STAND FOR. If you did that, you would know that it is the NATIONALIST PARTIES that are the ones that devote themselves to scapegoating immigrants (the funny looking ones of course) and that these parties enjoy marginal support (less than 5% of the population on a good day). None of the major, well supported parties promote policies and issues that marginalize, target or in any way could lead you to the opinion that Europe is tiring of its immigrants. IT COULD be argued that Europe is considering its need for further immigration from areas external to the EU - a lot of European political parties support caps and limits on NEW immigrants. However, that does not mean for one moment that it wishes to divest itself of those who are here already and have been here for generations, even the FUNNY LOOKING ONES THAT ADHERE TO DIFFERENT CUSTOMS, TRADITIONS, RELIGIONS etc.

Now, when you can get your head around the difference between changing future immigration policy and discriminating against those who have already settled in the EU - perhaps your wheels might stop spinning. Although, I doubt it.

There are certain "posters" who have been working diligently at creating baiting posts in this thread. I see the fish are not biting, though, which is commendable. Just a word of warning to "those" with the bait tins..... it is against the rules to fish in these waters. You are being monitored so please stop casting. Thank you.

That's a bunch of sheer BS! I travel to Europe min once to twice a year...Germany, Holland, and sometimes Denmark not including eastern Europe, and what you just posted is pure BS. I don't know where you get your info from, but wherever it is you might want to start looking elsewhere.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."
