My fiance and I are gathering all of the required information to start our K-1 visa as soon as possible. We have hundreds of photos of our time spent together, however we are unsure of how many we should submit with our package. We were just curious about how many photos others have sent in. Thank you for your time.

Photos are considered secondary evidence. Just including a few is fine, the primary evidence is more important.

Primary evidence would be boarding passes, passport stamps, hotel receipts, etc. Anything that proves you were in the same country at the same time.

I would include at least 8 and not over 20. But please make sure you send the photos that varies in events.

Not just one where you send 8 photos wearing same clothes.

Choose from diff. vacations or pictures with family and with your friends if he happened to meet them.

I sent ONE and a two sentence description of how we met. Approved in 58 days, no RFEs.

The petition requires that you provide plausible evidence that you have MET IN PERSON at least one time within the last two years. You do not need "evidence of relationship" for the petition. I attached copies of my passport stamps, boarding passes and one photo of us together.

Sent in 35! I had more but I thought that would be sufficient to show that we really are a genuine couple...got approved in 3 weeks. Don't know if that had anything to do with it but I did not want there to be any doubt in their minds! Good luck!

I cannot understand why people send in more than one or two. They just want proof of meeting, not a proof of a relationship at this point. A couple pictures, some boarding passes and you're good to go.

As you can see you can send in 1 or you can send in more and it doesnt affect how they process your petition.

Never hurts to put in more. the way i see it is better more and be safe than sorry and receive an rfe.

Hello,

As you can see, different members have had quite different approaches to this issue of how many pictures to send. I sent 10 pictures, showing my fiance and I at different places, different days, and wearing different clothes. If you have photos of you and your fiance with family members I would send a few of these, too. I wrote on the back of my pictures the date, time, and place. I have read about some members who have sent 60 pics, and others to send as few as only 1. I do not know if Peru is considered an "easy" or "difficult" consulate, but however many you choose tu submit, try to show a difference of time ranges and places.

Best wishes!

We gave them 5 photographs of our two meetings. Each photograph was labeled with place and date. We could have sent one photograph. Five was our version of over kill.

At the interview Natasha brought the five photographs with. The officer did not want to see them. One woman had an album of over 200 photographs! Natasha and a friend, who was also being interviewed the same day, hoped the officer did not want to see that many photographs. It would have made the interview much longer and the wait was 2+ hours without the large number of photographs.

In the actual interview, I'd take more because that's the stage where you actually have to prove that your relationship is legitimate. I wouldn't bring a whole photo album, but definitely more than one or two.
