I waited a week, then called NVC. Either way, it won't speed things up, but it will give you piece of mind. In the mean-time, get all of your docs ready for the interview

Can u plzz tell me a checklist of documents i need to prepare. I have a list any rectification or update from ur side will be valuable

[*]DS- 156 ( 2 copies completely filed and NOT signed)

[*]DS- 156K ( 1 copy completely filed and NOT signed)

[*]DS- 157 ( 1 copy completely filed and NOT signed)

[*]DS- 230 (Only part 1 required 1 copies completely filed and NOT signed)

[*]Birth Certificate long form (Beneficiary Copy)

[*]Police certificate (Original)

[*]I-134 Affidavit of Support (Original notarized copy)

[*]Bank letter

[*]Job letter and pay stubs

[*]Last 3 tax Returns

The dates accounts were opened, the current balances, the account numbers, and the total amount deposited for the last year.

How long is it taking your letter to get to nvc?

I waited 12 days and they still don't have it so I'm not sure what the regular timeline is for them to log it but the lady on the phone told me its usually a little less than a month for them to receive and log it?

My fiancee got her medical and physical exam yesterday. She came back today to get the results, she just called me to say that she passed. Thank god everything went good. She is scheduled for interview on 4-15-11. We are hoping everything will go smooth on her interview. Good luck on all September fillers...

Mike, good news to hear about passing the medical. Good luck next month with the interview. Pui will finish work at 3:30pm her time and hopefully she will be sending packet 3 after she finishes work. I'll be there next month so I'll be going with her for when she gets her medical, I got a feeling that will be a LOT of sitting and waiting.

We're still waiting on the embassy to receive our case. NVC says they sent it on 3/15. Embassy says they have nothing and to contact NVC. Called NVC numerous times and finally voiced my concern that our case might be lost. They gave me an email address to write to: nvcinquiry@state.gov. I wrote them and they told me to contact the embassy. What a bunch of $hit. No responsibility; no accountability. It's really scary actually.

Oh no! So sorry to hear that. Did you do the DHL tracking thing to see if any applications were sent to your or your fiancée's city? For me, I noticed that only one was sent to London so I know that the embassy should be getting mine...although DOS haven't confirmed that they received it...
