My wife needs a few....she is stuck in Austria right with recent tragedys that have happened....even going to miss her AOS interview. Not sure what will happen as the USCIS wont even talk to me as Im not the petitioner nor the attorney of record. I have a appointment Monday in Las Vegas to see if they can provide any useful information.

Prob why Ive been a little hard to get along with here recently....my apologies to all.

Thank you all! (F) I think on Wednesday me and my mom will be going to the hospital for her surgery, to sit with Dominique's parents to keep them company. I'll update in this thread if I hear any more info on her condition.

Dear Father, we're praying for your child, Dominique. You knew her name for millions of years before she was born. You knew her while her bones were being knit in her mother's womb. You know everything that will happen in her life. We ask you now to protect her and keep her during this dificult time. Be present in her distress and heal her. Use us, Lord, to deliver your love, comfort, and peace to Dominique. We thank you, Amen.

That was very beautiful! :)

Praying for Dominique & Desert Fox and families!

thanks!

I know it may seem an odd request since no one on VJ knows her. But since people know me I thought I'd ask for the prayer for her. :D Heard from her today, she is more calm but just talking to her makes me teary eyed. She was really blessed because when she was sent for the CAT scan and then they told her the results, she burst into tears and all the nurses and even the Dr comforted her. She has no insurance right now, she started a new job recently (as a med assisant actually). So she was crying that she cannot afford all this, and the Dr said don't worry. Then she went to pay the CAT scan bill(around $800 or something) and the lady told her they will not be charging her for the visit. So she was given compassion when she really needed it. :luv:

Thanks everyone...didnt mean to hijack the thread. Its just we are facing a major crisis right now. I may need to ask for the help of Reinhard in getting some documents written in German translated.

Thanks again...One day I may even post more.

and my thoughts and prayers are there for the OP.

Mike

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

I'm leaving to go to the hospital shortly for Dominique's surgery. They said the infection stopped one millimeter away from her brain. They are definitely taking out her whole inner ear on that one side. :o Me and my mom are going to go sit with Dom's mother during the surgery to keep her company and to be supportive. Praying the surgery goes smoothly. Thanks for everyone's prayers. (L)

I have been deeply in prayer for many people lately. I will certainly add Dominique to the list. But rest assured, as already mentioned, that God knew her name long before she was ever born. He knows and feels her pain, and longs to give her comfort. Remind her to let him be in control, and that lots of people who don't even know you or her are praying fervently for her.

My thoughts are with Stina's friend Dominique today (F) , and also with Desert Fox. (F) .

I am not an overly spiritual person, but that prayer was beautiful.

May the power of prayer and thoughts from others heal all that are hurting one way or another right now

Thank you so much to all of you...

Well, we were at the hospital for 4 1/2 hours. It's good we were there with Dominique's mom because Dom's dad had to leave at a certain point.

The sad/bad news is that her ear problem is not what they originally thought it was. The Dr took a biopsy to check it out, and it turns out that it was not a bone infection. Instead, it is cancer. :( It was a malignant tumor, that appeared to be just an infection but it's cancer.

She is a very healthy 22yr old, and so this is very sudden for her. She has to meet with her surgeon again tomorrow and then is meeting with a cancer Dr on Monday. :( I feel so bad for her. It was a very teary time.

She knows she is well loved and that lots of people are praying for her. She has a strong faith in God so she knows to look to Him for comfort. She'll find out what stage cancer it is on Monday and what the next steps will be whether chemotherapy or something.

Not sure if anyone really read the last post on here about my friend finding out she had cancer, but still I needed to add a reply that is good news incase anyone did.

The Dr said it definitely looked like cancer cells with he did the biopsy on Wednesday, but today they pathology report was completed and there were no cancer cells found. The Dr said "we're dealing with a miracle here I think..." so thank you to everyone who prayed for my friend during this time. She is going to get the original surgery done soon, still removing the inner ear but now after thinking she had cancer it's no big deal. :)

A miracle, or a REALLY bad screw up by the pathologist in the lab... unbelievable.

Good to hear that it's not as severe as cancer...

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.
