Hello!

We're putting together our paperwork for the petition, the intention is to send it tomorrow. But I still have some questions about the passport stamps and the proof of citizenship.

First, if we want to add passport stamps as proof of having met in person, how do we do that? Do we have to make copies of ALL pages in the passport? Or just the ones with stamps?

As proof of citizenship we want to use a copy of the naturalization certificate. If we want to use a copy of the passport, we use the same copy we used for passport stamps? And then again, ALL pages or just the info page and passport stamps pages?

Thanks in advance for all your time!

I am a bit confused what you are really asking for. If you are asking about proving US Citizenship and you want to use your US Passport, then you must submit a copy of every single page of the passport.

Now, if you are asking about submitting copies of passport stamps to show proof of meeting your fiance in the last 2 years, then you can just submit a copy of your bio page and a copy of the stamp in the passport.

6/1/09 - 6/11/09-----> First meeting (Japan)

11/11/09 - 11/21/09-----> Second meeting (Japan)

2/7/10 - 2/14/10-----> Third meeting (Vietnam) (First trip to Vietnam)

4/1/10 - 4/11/10-----> Fourth meeting (Vietnam) (Second trip to Vietnam)

5/5/10-----> I-129F: NOA1

8/27/10-----> NOA2

12/20/10-----> Interview Date

You dont need every page of the passport for either. For citizenship, get a notarized copy of the naturalization certificate (but they only request copies, not notarized copies- so either will work...). Then for proof of meeting in person, use passport stamps copies + flight iteneraries and/or boarding passes (the tickets you give to the airline when going on the plane).

By the way, notarized copies can be made for $3 at any UPS Store, usually http://www.theupsstore.com/Pages/index.aspx

If the instructions say to send all pages of the passport, interpret the instructions literally and follow them accurately. If there's not a clear instruction, submit all pages regardless.

I submitted a copy of my naturalization certificate and copies of ALL pages of my passport. This way, I can prove my citizenship in two ways AND I could also show the passport stamps (primary evidence of having met in person). In order to make it clear to the adjudicator I made small explanatory notes next to the passport stamps (1st visit, 2nd visit, etc.) Good luck!

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!
