Yes, DS-3032 has to be signed by beneficiary that's your wife. She has to choose her agent in order to receive futher correspondence from USCIS. You can send her the form via email and have her sign and send you back again via email, you can forward the same form to NVC by email.

Hope this helps !

Being you the recent U.S citizen is a nice feeling, but it won't speed up NVC and Consulate interview. BTW, Hartford, CT is a nice place. Please don't tell me that you work in one of those major 4 insurers :star:

Malvika, The original completed DS-3032 form by the beneficiary has to be 'mailed out' to NVC with the barcode. If the petitioner is COA, petitioner can 'mail out' the same to NVC, when the petitioner gets this completed and signed original form from the beneficiary.

Emailing is another option and the fastest. Here there is a template that has to be 'emailed' after the completion. The scanned form DS-3032 cannot be emailed.

You as the petitioner call the NVC live person and provide both yours and beneficiary's email ids. Then your beneficiary complete the template (no signature here) and email to NVC. Mostly, NVC will accept this.

Some people will mail hardcopy to NVC for additional peace of mind.

Darnell,

Are you saying that NVC doesn't accept the scanned DS-3032 form sent by petitioner? I am confused !

If there were clear instructions on the NVC portal about this, then I'd say so, I promise !

But there's not.

Specifically for 'NVC Electronic Processing' Cases , a scanned / signed DS-3032 IS REQUIRED.

Most other countries, it's (pick one)

--original signature , DS-3032 form, with the barcode, received into petitioner/beneficiary's email box, then printed, signed, sent out via postal mail.

--DS-3032 form data, using the ascii text email template here at VJ.

So - does NVC accept it as a signed/scanned document for NON-EP cases? Sure ! Maybe !! Eventually !

Is it 'the published way' to handle this? Absolutely not !

If 'your friends' were lucky, then they were lucky. Seriously.

But - choose yer own path, yes? I'm a fan of doing it the 'published and promulgated' ways.

a 'signed/scanned/emailed' ds-3032 form, is not published and promulgated, for 'paper' casefiles into NVC.

Seriously - disregard all that I say, choose yer own path, based on yer own knowledge and decision tree .

My favorite stories, here at VJ, on the DS-3032, were:

I decided to email the ascii template, then also emailed the scanned and signed document, then had my spouse send it in via postal mail

(no, I'm not being snarky or rude)

My beneficiary doesn't need to sign the DS-3032 template then? How can template be signed?

there is no signature or barcode for the DS-3032 email template.

It's ASCII TEXT.

as such, no 'binary attachments' to be included.

signature is a binary attachment

barcode is a binary attachment.

ASCII text emails do not contain attachments, ever.

if they did, then it wouldn't be an 'ascii text email' - it'd be something else.

Thanks Darnell and LotOfPatience for your input.

I have still been waiting for NVC to receive my case. Today it is 42 days of my I-130 approval, but my service center has not sent my approved petition to NVC yet. This is so rediculous. God Help me :(

How do you know that SC didn't send your docs to NVC? Did you call NVC Human TM to check your case is reached there? If not, try right now, at this point...
