NOA2 without being 'touched' poll

Hello all, I am curious. Has anybody gotten their NOA2 through the postal mail and not received a email or phone text 'touched' notice? I have heard that sometimes the notification system and the 'case status' does not work or change and it has been 2 months since mine was last touched. Thanks for your response. - Dave

Technically I don't think my case was touched. The NOA1 date was 6/30, but it wasn't entered into the system until 7/1, so that was the date of last action prior to my NOA2 date. It took 22 days from NOA1 to NOA2 issue. I know that's not common, we were very lucky, but it can happen. Hope that helps.

I received my NOA1 on April 19th and then didn't hear anything until I got the email/text from USCIS about my petition being approved on June 21st. I checked every day, several times a day between those two dates and it was always in initial review and the date of last update never changed, until I got the email/text.

We received the NOA2 in the mail but we never received electronic notification (as requested) and our status was never updated beyond initial review on the USCIS website (and we now have the package 3 from the embassy) Electronic updates from the USCIS are completely inconsistent, so no worries if you don't get any.

My fiances cousins fiance waited 100 days without anything beyond the NOA1. I convinced him to call after what I have read here. He called USCIS, got generic answers but was put on hold for 10 minutes while they "checked" something out. They came back and said everything looks fine.

The next day BAM!!! Petition approved.

I think his petition was approved a while ago, maybe 6 weeks earlier but the NOA2 was never sent and his file just sat somewhere.

He filed in Vermont which is averaging 43 days. Reading here, they would have known that and could have corrected this earlier.

Depending on where you filed, I'd considering giving them a call to get things going maybe.

For us, there was some "touched" on the on-line status check but we received the NOA2 in the mail without any on-line or e-mail or message of confirmation.

So it happens sometimes that they send papers in the mail without updating the on-line status check database

Good luck on your journey
