Hello, I am new to the forum. Although I have wandered around the site for some information I just recently joined out of the frustration and the need for some support. I have called and emailed the VSC and have only received the standard response. I am going into the most stressful time of year at work and I was hoping for some positive information. I was told yesterday to wait 26 days and then put in a service request. Can I call back and put one in now? I was also considering mailing my congressman but in my opinion he is useless. =(

I also called last week, (my NOA1 was 8/4/10) they said that a month late is within their normal processing time. To which I wonder, "welllll why don't you just say six months, then!?" They told me to wait until the second week of February, and if I haven't received anything by then, I could call back and put a service request in.

So, we wait. I'm getting good at this.

It is always worth a second call to the phone boys because different phone boys will tell you different things.

As for your Congress Member, if he is useless, try your Senators. We all have two of them to try.

So my Congressman inquired for me and this is the response that they got. (See Below) This is so frustrating!!! It does say that it was assigned to an officer but I am really not sure if that means anything. Wish I had better news.

United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records reflect that the I-129F was received on August 11, 2010 and was recently assigned to an officer on January 21, 2011, and is currently under review.

Please look for action on this case in the next 30 days.

You at least got more action than me. Yours is at least on someone's desk now.

I've emailed 2 congressman and 2 senators and also called one of the senators. No replies... I don't know what else to do. If this was a free thing, then sure I can understand being pushed around. But we all paid the HIGHER fees due to submitting earlier... that means we get pushed around even more.

They will all respond differently. I am sure the degree to which he/she helps you will weigh quite heavily the next time you are in the voting booth.

When it becomes my turn to contact them, the ones who help me will get my vote the next time around as well as a campaign contribution and campaign volunteer help. The ones who don't help me will see these things go to their opponents. It will be a one issue election for me. I will not even remotely consider any other issue in deciding who to support.

As for Obama, he is done in my books. The TPS debacle, the one that has caused all this suffering and misery, is his fault. I will vote for his opponent, no matter who it is.
