hello :)

i was just wondering if calling the USCIS would result in speeding up our case by having it be touched or they would check it or so?! it could seem like a silly question but if that actually would work then yeah that would be neat! and also when we call what would we tell them or ask them?..Thank you for your replies in Advance :)

The people you talk to are far removed from the actual officers that adjudicate your case. The touches you refer to may mean almost nothing is some instances so you cant rely on that as an indication of yourt case status.

This process has a long history & your case will become part of it. Check to see about cases connected to Egypt & you will see you are in for an extra long journey & class in patience.

It will be neat if you educate yourself so you will know what to tell them or ask when the time comes. Neatness counts.

What Kruz meant is: No. There is no way to speed the process. The USCIS 1-800 line is useless. Sorry.

i am well educated with the whole process and i do know that some people get approved without any touches while others get approved after being touched a few times,it's just i saw someone's comment about some mid april filers getting their case touched twice and guessing that they might have called,or called a senator or something,so i thought since some think of that maybe they know that it actually does have a chance to work that is why i wondered if it would!

Thanks for your reply and good luck with your journey :)

you cannot expedite the case unless you have some sort of medical/humanitarian reason. like you need their kidney right now or you will die, etc.

you can contact a senator or congressmen and explain why your case is so desperate and special that they should make a call to the immigration sector and try to move it along, but that isn't even very effective i believe.

there is not much you can do, unless you know someone who works in the actual office and looks at documents.

It's real easy to laugh behind the safety of your computer monitor, isn't it?

It was an innocent question and did not deserve such a disrespectful response.

I find something funny, I laugh. I find something funny online, I 'laugh' virtually.

You can deem that 'unclassy' -- if you so wish. How you hold me in your esteem, is frankly, none of my concern. I don't troll these forums waiting for your or anyone else's approval, respect or validation. I have enough of that in my 'real life.'

The irony, sheer innocence and naivete in the opening post is outstanding. You'd have to be missing a sense of humor to not acknowledge that.

I don't care how much irony, innocence, or how much naivety you saw in the opening post .

There was no reason to post what you did and the same goes for kruz.

This entire immigration process is a highly emotional one and sometimes you just want to hear what others think. That is all my wife wanted. I take great offense for the general lack of tact that you displayed, along with kruz.

Anonymity is such a wonderful thing when you're the keyboard warrior , sitting behind your monitor, and feeling no repercussions for your actions, isn't it?

People have feelings. Tact; learn it.

The mid april filer actually called in to change their address thus resulting in a touch. I did that too early in my journey (2 months ago) and got touched twice. Doesn't mean anything. :(
