Yep but sadly i already sent in my IV forms without the PCC.

Wife is going in a couple days to try to get the PCC with the coverletter/receipt. She already has a new passport with her married name so thats not a problem.

After i get it I want to see if i can send it into NVC before they even issue my RFE. Guessing no?

What a buzzkill, if only i knew about this just a week ago. But even then the wife was too scared to TRY to get the PCC without the checklist/RFE.

Well what you can do is, tell your wife to go and get the PCC ready & send it to you so as soon as you get the RFE you can send that in, which will not waste much of your time.

Goodluck

Hey some doubts, friends..

1. For whoever filled i864, did you write 'N/A' or leave the fields blank ?

For ds-230 i remember they specifically said not to leave fields blank.. but for i864 i dont see such an instruction. Many fields are left blank in the sample form in VJ. Makes me a lil confused.

2. Also, the intending immigrant will be listed in household of BOTH the petitioner and joint sponsor, right? (this is a case of two I864 forms)

3. For question number 23a , 23. My current individual annual income is: $

suppose the petioner has been working from only March, do we still multiply the bi-weekly pay-stub amount by 26 ? It asks for annual..so safe to multiply by 26?

I think we are getting paranoid about making a mistake. It sounds like things are a little different in India. Your right about things sometimes are not clear and that leaves us to question. I find myself doing it all the time. Here is my response to your questions.

1- It is SOP when filling out any official form to not leave blanks. I have just learned to do this from past work and contract experience. I went back and looked at my I-864 form. I have no blank other than if I check on area of the form which then made another part irrelevant. Like I check A so B & C are not relevant.

2- In question #21 of the I-864 form its said dont count anyone twice... IF you spouse is not living with you and has not lived with you then she is not part of your household yet in my view.

3- If your salary then you should know your annual income. If you hourly typically annual income is based on 2080 hour work yr. Just do the math. Don't include OT. I would not include anyones salery whos work will stop as a result of traveling to the US.

In both the packages that I have sent in I have attached a letter of clarification or explanation. I would recommend that everyone do this. You can provide some information on your reasoning there. Hope this helps. Others may see it differently but I would try to that the common sense approach. Our Packages dont have to be perfect. Then need to be clear.

I would see if your wife can get two original copies One for you and one she can take on her interview. I think that will work and just email the NVC a PDF copy with note stating they will get original in mail and or at Interview. I am going to have to do that with my wife's passport because she doesn't have the renewed on yet. Her current one has a few yrs left on it so its good. NVC told me that would be okay to have her present her new one at the interview.

Thanks Tom. Yupe..quite paranoid about mistake. :D know it, but cant help !

Yea.. In question #21 of the I-864 form its say dont count anyone twice... but then, its with respect to one form..? so if you have two forms, arent u supposed to put the details of beneficiary in both..right? Bceuase both the sponsors do sponsor the immigrant.

And well, though the sponsor was employed from march..(which will make her employed only for 10 months of the year), we will still include 12 months of income because it says annual income.

And I guess I will have it written 'N/A' wherever it makes sense.

Agree with Tom for trying this already. I got two original copies as well, passport office shud give you that. (exact replica - even the file number/serial number match)

Theres no harm in trying anyway.. When I went for mine, I didnt know i will get it; but still was able to with the DS3032 and printed out check-list from the dept of state website

JinyAndJony.

Yes #21 is specific to one form. I though that was the form you were speaking of. If you have a co-sponsor then each form is specific to the individual who is sponsoring. Maybe I am not understanding the question.

It is asking for annual salery, not how much someone made in the past year. I think you're reading to much into the question. Even if you only work at a job for 1 month your salery is your salery. 1040 will show past income. Yeah I would not worry to much about the N/A or None. Just trust in the FORCE LUKE... I am sure you'll be fine...
