How long to get NOA1?

Hi THere,

My CR-1/I-130 package was received at the Chicago lockbox on 7/7 and I still haven't heard anything back, and I attached the form so they could send me a text when they go it and still nothing! I've been checking my bank balance too and still no cashed check! Any ideas how long this normally takes???

04.14.11: NVC is saying i never emailed anything. I contacted my senate office, who is getting things handled for me at NVC.

It can take up to 60 days to receive the NOA-1. However, 4 weeks is more typical.

The NOA1 usually takes about 10 business days (so maybe sometime next week unless they are slow in that department too right now). The waiting has only just begun (for this lovely process) :).

Thanks all! Yeah I'm so stressed out about this!!! I was just hoping it wouldn't go so slow! Oh well, I guess I'll just keep waiting and waiting because it's not like I can call anyone and ask about. I'm just hoping we can opt in for the online processing and that it goes faster...

I sent mine on July 2nd, they received it on the 3rd, and I got the text on the 12th and my hard copy NOA1 in the mail on July 18th.

07/01/2010 - I-485, I-765 and I-130 sent to Chicago lock box
07/03/2010 - package signed for in Chicago
07/12/2010 - text and email notification received
07/17/2010 - hard copy NOA1s received in mail
07/19/2010 - received biometrics letter (scheduled for August 12th)
07/22/2010 - unsuccessful walk-in biometrics in Brooklyn
07/28/2010 - successful walk-in biometrics in Brooklyn
08/24/2010 - EAD card approved (54 DAYS)
