Haha, I could just send one out tomorrow and not wait till it gets returned :star:

I wouldn't advocate doing that. :)

You are right.

One other thing I did wrong was that I put Post-It notes on the documents explaining what they were. And then made a copy of those before sending. Now I cant use some of those copied documents as they have post-it copied on them. :ranting::crying:

I wouldn't stress about it. Just do the one form you know is wrong and send the rest all back. I'm sure they really don't expect one to redo the whole package...like I said...I'm just #######. lol It also wasn't that bad for me because I had everything in pdf's on my pc...including all the supporting docs so it was just a matter of blowing up my printer for hours and signing everything and of course filling out that one form again for all 4 of us.

I guess I dont mind printing the forms again but the documents that I attached - I would HATE to copy them again and re-collect them.

Wonder if someone else just did the outdated form(s). I dont feel like putting that mess together. Already having headache!

I don't know if what I did was the right thing to do, but I just printed out new, recent copies of the forms that were expired. As to all the supporting evidence and other documents that I sent with it, I just re-sent everything that I had sent before. Yes, all of those documents had a time/date stamp down the side of the page, but it just wasn't practical to send out a "fresh" application.

I don't know whether it's going to cause a problem because I didn't print out/send new copies of everything, but we shall see. I also re-used all of the old forms (the ones not outdated) as well.

I'll keep everyone updated in this topic as to whether my application was accepted, despite there being the time stampes/etc on the pages.

Thanks for the updates and suggestions. I think am going to follow what FrostyMist did and LiLMermaid suggested. Also, I posted a new thread asking the same question and someone also recommendedthe same thing to send just the updated form.

I noticed AP and EAD forms also have an updated version but they are acceptable. Since forms are easy, I will send the updated EAD and AP form but will keep the other documents as is. Its just too much work to re-collect all supporting documents.

PDF is a good idea!

I think it should be ok.

Looks like we're really the thread for rejection notices and re-filers.

Hopefully there won't be any more bumps along this road.

Hopefully there won't be any more bumps along this road.

I told my husband that we can expect at least a few bumps along the road. This is minor compared to some of the problems that could have happened. I hope that this will be a simple issue to resolve and our application can begin once USCIS receive it again.

Here's a question for the foreign beneficiaries:

Do you plan on becoming a US Citizen when your 3 years post-green card are up?

David plans to do it to get rid of US immigration from his life (although I'm really the one spear-heading most of the effort here...I think he would get too frustrated with the bureaucracy of it all and I'm the nit-picky type when it comes to paperwork. The UK allows for dual citizenship, so no issue there...

I'm sure it will be fine all they care about is that the 'outdated' form is taken care of.

The minute I'm able to I am for sure. Its not such a huge deal for me but I have 3 kids...I want them to have dual citizenship that way when they are older they can live/work wherever they want to in all of North America. I don't want them to have the hassles I have had! They will all be young enough that they will all derive citizenship from me so it would be dumb not to do it.

They accepted it, spent your money and tossed your package in the corner. Just before someone goes on vacation he'll grab your application and it'll update to 'initial review' and then he'll be off for 2 weeks. Oh wait.....that was me with my K-1 application. lol

Seriously though...go look at the June thread...they are getting August interviews. Yet again...some people that filed earlier (february I think) waited forever and a day. Lets all hope we're all one of the speedy months.
