I recieved this email and im guessing it is spam..what do you think? Im just confused as its from Kentucky where my husband lives...

The Kentucky address is legit as this is where they do the diversity lottery. Question is did you apply for the diversity lottery? What is the email address of the sender....is it a .gov address? Are there any advertisements in the email such as banner ads? Just the reply to address you show @live.com makes me think it is false since any government mail would have a government email address.

It is not uncommon for companies to send such emails to lure people into paying fees to be signed up for the diversity lottery which is free to enter at the official government website.

The bold part is inconsistent. DV-2010 for FY 2009? Whatever. It's a scam. Lemme guess: they're looking for personal information and perhaps the remittance of visa fees.

Now, if you'd like, if you tell me the IP address of where the email originated from, I'm happy to xref the country/city of origin.

also - read all the headers - you'll find NO gov email servers listed in it, or IP addresses for same.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
