Here's a faster way to check your case status without having to manually log in with your name and password each time you check it. Just save the link below as a browser favorite/bookmark, replacing MYUSERNAME and MYPASSWORD with your real ones. It will go directly to your page with the 'touched date'.

https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/logon.do?userType=CU&username=MYUSERNAME&password=MYPASSWORD&language=ENGLISH

I've been trying to write an application in C# to automatically check the status of my case each day, so I don't have to do it. I will share it and the source code when I've got it working ;) Unfortunately the server doesn't like something about my application (I think there's a cookie/session problem, it returns server error 500). I hear they will ban your IP address if you check it too many times a day, so testing and debugging is going rather slowly...

Then your computer will get to have all the fun! That's very crafty. But I dunno if I'd want my passwords flying around in plaintext like that.

You're missing the info in this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...c=22852&hl=

Seriously, now. You create the account using an egovblahblahblah.gov link, but it's hosted with the USCIS site.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Since it is a secure site (by virtue of the https bit), the password gets encrypted by your computer before being transmitted to the site. So, no worries.
