We received an email from USCIS this week 6/20/2010.

*** DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL *** The last processing action taken on your case Receipt Number: MSC0XXXXXXXXX Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On March 31, 2009
, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283. If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283. *Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov under Check My Case Status and Check Processing Times.*** Please do not respond to this e-mail message. Finally they tell us about the approval. Ummmmm....it's just 1 year, 3 months late. :bonk:

He got the GC in April 2009 but the online case status has been "pending" all this time. Crazy!

Glad to see they are finally "updating" their system lol!

Wonder if somebody got around to pulling up "pending" cases to work on them and discovered some were indeed already approved. I feel sorry for anybody who is really still "pending" since March 2009 and got overlooked. The CRIS email updates had worked perfectly up until this glitch. I suppose the person who approves is supposed to enter something that generates the notification and online status change and he was hungover :dead: that day and not doing his job well.

Actually they didn't mail a notice. Nor did they send the traditional welcome letter. A green card just showed up unceremoniously. Well, it lets people know that case status online isn't always dependable.

I guess the good news is that it rarely gives false positives. I've never heard of someone getting a "we approved you" and then nothing (except for mail/address change glitches).

K-1:

January 28, 2009: NOA1

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

March 7, 2012: Tracking says "notice left"...after a phone call to post office.

Not unusual. We had an infopass meeting this morning that confirmed that her AP

card had been produced & sent - the online status still says "further processing."

It should have said production of the card has been ordered.
