A search on line shows that unless the fish was sharkmeat or skate having an ammonia smell means that the fish is past its prime and is beginning to decompose. That doesn't necessarily mean that you will get sick - many of the respondents reporting this didn't get sick even though they tasted the ammonia taste. The decomposition probably hasn't created any serious level of toxic pathogens yet that would cause an intestinal upset. Hopefully you won't have any problems overnight, You can search yourself using 'Fish smells like ammonia" or other variations.

Ok, really stupid, I know. I ate some fish that tasted like ammonia.

It seemed to smell normal and it was only after a few bites that I realized it was ammonia I was tasting. Yuck.
