Figured I'd start a thread and see if anyone out there wanted to join.

I'm back on the diet boat after having a baby and it's rough. Anybody currently dieting? Want to be part of this thread? We can talk about how much we want a piece of chocolate cake :lol: or cool low-calorie/low-fat recipes, etc.

Anyone? :rofl:

2005---We met by friend/Church member that was living in Nigeria

2006---We begin to talk about getting married

2007---I was going to met him face to face, but hurt my back couldn't walk..

2009---Was able to see each for the first time.. I got my engagement ring (WOW).. :wow:

2010-01-22 mailed I129f

2010-01-26 got NOA1

2010-05-12 called to see why no NOA2, I was told that our case is not being processed yet!!!!! No notes in the computer

other then the mailing of the NOA1!!!!!!! :angry:

2010-05-18 called SERVICE CENTER again to see what's going on with our case.. NOT BEING PROCESSED YET I WAS TOLD AGAIN!!!

2010-06-16 Got notice that NOA2 was approved 141 days after NOA1. We got our approval on Ossy's Birthday.. Happy birthday honey, I love you!!!!

2010-06-21 got NOA2 in hand

2010-06-22 called NVC to see if papers was there, but was told that my DOB was not right in the system. Just mailed a letter along with a copy of my birth certificate asking to change my DOB.. Way to go VCS..

2010-06-22 NVC received the case

2010-06-23 Case sent to Embassy in Barbados

2010-06-28 Embassy received our case

2010-08-09 Interview Administrative Review

2010-11-15 Approved for Visa (I was on the mission to make sure the INTERVIEWER that we had never interviewed anyone else and I did it).. Know that you have right and don't let the interviewer cross the line..

2010-12-10 Visa and Passport in hand!!! Thank God!!!

2010-12-19 Ossy will enter the States!!

I don't really like to diet.. I just try and watch what I eat and how much I eat and I try and drink mostly water...

So we can safely say you don't want to join? lol

I'm just doing the diet my doc gave me. It's basically the food pyramid plus eating about 1500-1800 cals/day. I can't go crazy because I'm nursing the baby. 1 or 2 lbs/week is cool with me.

Oh great. *wanders off to google food pyramid*

OT: Your little baby has so much hair. So cute! I wonder if my half Paki newborn will have a lot of hair.

I need to exercise more. Not so into dieting. I worked out yesterday and today. I am trying to make it a habit. I keep telling the hubby that when I am in top shape that he will need to develop a six pack. :rofl:

Our VisaJourney started July 2009 when I mailed the 129-F

Fiance here February 2010, married 10 days later

Able to apply to remove conditions 12-Feb-2012

Ohhhhh... the food pyramid! lol

getting 5 servings of fruit & 5 of veggies is difficult. You have to be creative. I bring them as snacks and eat them throughout the day at work. If it wasn't for that, I would never eat that many. They recommend eating whole grains, and its tricky too. I love white bread.

They have a mapped out route at my job that equals 1/4 mile. I'm going to start walking it during my lunch break. I don't know how much I'll get done in a 1/2 hour but hey I'll give it a shot.

OT: Your little baby has so much hair. So cute! I wonder if my half Paki newborn will have a lot of hair.

thanks! my mom was born with a big head of hair like that too, so I think the baby got it from her. Luis said that the babies in his family have a lot of hair but not as much as Anna was born with.

Try Dr. Ian four day diet.. I love it!!

You can eat fruit 3 times a day (for 4 days out the week)

greens any kind (4 cups a day everyday)

nuts 3oz over the week.

beans (1 cup a day)

lean meats (baked)

use lemon juice in the place of salt

water, water, and water lots of it..

If you like Grapefruit juice drink about 3 cups a day..

Coffee black

egg whites with cheese

Let me know if you need more on it!!
