Well, mine was approved on the 7/21 and got touched on 7/22 and NVC received 7/27.... as you can see in my timeline !!!! I had read it somewhere that CSC don't send files straight to the EMBASSY any longer.. but yeah WHEN I CALLED THE NVC THEY SAID THEY DON'T KEEP THE K-1 THERE FOR MORE THAN WEEK....

GOOD LUCK !!!!!

Hi, Yesterday I called the embassy in Manila. The woman who answered the phone was very nice and said the Embassy had access to NVC data base so she looked up our case and gave me the case number. She said we were approved on July 28th even though our NOA2 says July 31st. She also told me NVC just got our case yesterday even though NVC Auto reply said they did not have it. I called the NVC today and NVC said they just received the packet today July 8th. I also was touched today for the first time since July 31st. I have heard they only hold the packet for about 2 days and then it is forwarded to the embassy as long as it passes a background check number 2 of 3. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Sounds like we are all having the same thing happen, being touched after approval means that it is being shipped to NVC.

Ok I posted this somewhere else but I can't remember where....

I too was touched on August 7th. I may have been touched before that but I wasn't checking. I figured once I got the NOA2 that they wouldn't update anymore on their site so I wasn't checking. I am hoping that means that they sent the paperwork to NVC.

Interesting. I received a touch August 7 as well. When I got thru last night to NVC they told me they still have not received the package. I got the approval letter last Friday, I didn't think it would take much longer for the documents to arrive... Maybe they are taking scenic route to NVC? Hmmm...

So what is it exactly that they DO do with the K-1 petitions at NVC? Do they run checks on the beneficiary? From the info I found on this forum it appears that all they do is enter the K-1 case into their database and mail it to the embassy.. Does anyone have a definite answer or maybe can point to the source of info?

Thanks
