Hi there,

Is there anyone from the Phils. who experienced visa denial? In my case,i was denied last April and now I'm reapplying again,I filled out an application already but not scheduled my interview yet. Now, I am so bothered that First,I wasn't able to put my middle name because apparently there's no box for the middle name,Second,I forgot the exact figure of my monthly salary but i work in a bank and that i only put the estimated amount but not more than from what I am earning every month,it's only more pesos difference. Is it already considered as fraud or stating false?Third,I put my sponsors address as Unit for apartment at the first box but when there's a question again I put the APT,i edited it but surprised after the confirmation that it was not edited at all.I haven't put my fathers middle name and my moms maiden name. My BF just finished his 2nd course and now preparing for board exam.I know these are all grounds for rejection,Is there anyway I could change my application? Can I send email to the consular and correct the other data? Please i need an advice and it will be greatly appreciated.Thanks..

You are from one of the countries where it is nearly impossible for a single person to get a visitors visa to the US. Unless something has drastically changed since April you are probably not going to get approved. Over the years Joseph had applied for about 10 visitors visas to the US and never got approved. If you are trying to come here to meet your boyfriend the best route is for him to plan to go there.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

He actually once lived here for 2 years and that weve also been to other asian country together,we don't have any plan of getting married yet.I only want to visit him,and that he's the one invited me and even pay for my trip. From my previous interview, the consul asked if he's my fiance and I said no.I don't have any intention to live in the US.what should I do?

Duplicate posts asking virtually the same information from the same OP have been merged. It is not necessary to post the same question twice - if you have further information, add it to the original thread - there is no need to start a new one.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

How has your situation changed since the first visa denial.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Usually you do not get the chance to plead your case, they have decided.

Just answer any questions you are asked simply and truthfully. Just answer the specific question.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Neither sound biggies, why not do a supplement stating the correct info and hand it over.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Really, either answer won't help you get approved. They will likely just think that you are trying to move to the US to theoretically earn more money to send it back. If you truly want to get a tourist visa, you need to show that you absolutely will return to the Philippines. I've heard that there are about six million people in the US illegally that overstayed their visas, and they are trying to shut that down by making it even harder to get tourist visas.

Mistakes have nothing to do with getting denied. The simple fact is that unless your own your own car and an expensive house, you will get denied. Even with those factors, you may get denied. Other factors that would be helpful include owning a very successful business that you have to return to run and having a spouse and kids that you will want to return to. Again, even with those factors, there is no guarantee.

Beyond the fact that you are not married and work in a bank, I don't know much about your personal situation. But if you do not meet the criteria that I set out, you will likely get denied. Sure, there is a small chance that it won't happen, but why keep on spending the $150 it costs and just have your fiancee visit you?

I personally wish that everyone who wanted to visit the US could, but unfortunately that is not the current reality. It is not your fault, but rather the money people in your situation that have taken advantage of tourist visas and stayed in the US illegally.
