I already admitted I was wrong. However, anyone else feel like jumping on my mistake? Feel free, I'm an adult, I can admit to my mistakes, who knew?

Being wrong just isn't enough.

It's knowing exactly how wrong you are to the nth degree, and that knowing that everyone else and their favourite second cousin knows you were that wrong.

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself

I was 100% wrong, I could not have been any more wrong. I am working on making sure everyone learns about it

Oh, I know how I can make myself seem worse, I spent over a year living in France, I rather thought I spoke the language quite well. Seems like I was totally mistaken, I didn't remember the meaning of Petard! All those years of study down the drain, woe is me :crying:

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I'm always wrong about stuff, it's called being human. It's even better to be able to admit it and laugh about it. Ignore them Cleo.

Cleo, believe me -- my mocking was only of he who deserved it. To err is human; to err and brag of one's brilliance is punishable by shooting in the face.

Bonnes vacances!

I'm assuming you never imploded in France, or made to look so silly by others during yer stay, so that no french-speaker vocalized the phrase to you.

But it's just an assumption. I could, of course, be dead wrong.

IMO, the phrase itself is English in origin, even though petard is french in origin.

But hey - words are words - I read one of yer other posts, using the word 'frisson' in a sentence - I was impressed !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Indeed. The phrase is Shakespearean and appears first in Hamlet, or so my Shakespeare professor led me to believe.

Cleo, I hope you realise that any mockery was not directed at you but at Gary's very obnoxious and arrogant attempt to be right at all times on the internet. He deserved it because he was being very ungentlemanly about it. Making mistakes is very human, unless, you are perfect.
