I did and was a bit disappointed. I felt it didn't really have a set plot, or beggining, middle and end. It's just a collection of feelings and thoughts, like a glimpse into some people. I expected the love story to be stronger, the family bond to be better explored, and even the idea of being far away and in touch by letters seemed diminished to me. All that coming from one who has had to stay away from my loved ones (like most of us on VJ) and one who'll soon know about having my husband deployed somewhere.

i watched it, well mostly because i think channing tatum is hawt, but the movie STUNK with a capital STUNK i thought perhaps it was just me because i hated the notebook too.

very little plot, no chemistry between seyfreid and tatum and predictable as all get out.

@nessa...an aside, thoughts on this season of OTH?

I watched it the other day and I cried the entire movie but I have to agree with most....there wasn't really a story. The ending was weird, I was hoping to see a little more but the movie was just over, bummer.

I however LOOOVE "The Notebook", it's one of my all time faves (wonder why my daugther's name is Allie?? LOL)

It wasn't that deep. The longest scene is the make out scene. The target audience seems to be that age group and specifically for those going to the Iraq War.
