That's OK, Rhiannercakes, because right after you wrote that, mandaNchris mentioned that they liked to salt their fires:

I agree low sodium foods are welcomed in my book too. theres too much salt in everything!! My fiance adds salt to all his food and i just look at him in horror. I add salt to fires but only once in a while. In my opinion salt is not needed.

I only do that when I have set the stove on fire...

I used to put salt on all my food, I finally stopped.

I only use it in cooking and I do still put salt on raw tomatoes when I eat them. Makes them taste better in my opinion.

Ketchup is my saviour though, I got so sick of white rice that I started putting ketchup in it... much to my husband's surprise

I was a big salt user too, if I cook with it i won't add any after. As for rice and ketchup thats the only way I eat it too. I've been eating it that way since I was pregnant with my 2nd. The funny thing is I was craving spagetti and didn't have any in the house, so at supper I made rice and it just didn't taste right and of course I grabbed the ketchup. I just can't eat it with out it now.

It wasn't worth trying anyway, it tasted so fake and... weird like I said.

It was pretty amusing though to have purple all over your fries.

LOL so funny...I didn't notice either one, till it was pointed out!

Personally...I don't like ketchup. I hardly ever use it...so I really don't notice the taste difference. I'm just not a die hard Heinzer...

I dunno - the recipes, IMO, are 'regionalized' for the local buyers.

Heinz is huge international company - catsup in Singapore ain't the same as USA ain't the same in Canada ain't the same in the UK and ain't the same in China.

I'm hooked on 'sweet chili sauce' and don't use catsup any more (but none of this matters - it's all off the diet, from 1/1/10 to current)
