please help - Signature Issues [edited title]

i tried to delete all my old posts from "about me" page, and I cant. please, can you tell me how to do this. thank you. gabriela

Hi Gabriela,

Go to the upper right hand corner where you see your own user name listed. Click on that. It should take you to your membership profile. In the upper right hand corner just above the line that says " hondo1z's profile" you will see "edit my profile". Click on that. When you do you will see a page saying 'Your Options'. On the left hand side there is a column directly below "Your Options" that lists 'change profile information' 'change 'about me' page', and so on. Click on 'change about me page' and you can edit your information. You can edit any other information you want in your membership profile by clicking on the correct 'edit' link, or by changing the information in the fill in boxes.

thank you for your reply, i tried that already, dont work. i want to delete all the info that I have on my profile, and you can see (all posts from I-130)... i dont know how to do it...

Are you trying to delete the actual posts in the forums themselves? If so, that isn't something that you have the option of doing. Your posts are not located in your profile - there is a link in your profile to where your posts are located, but the actual posts are in the forums and only moderators and administration are able to remove posts from the forums.

If there are specific posts that contain personal information that you want removed, then send me the links (by PM, don't post them publicly) and I can take care of that but generally, unless there is a good reason, we don't remove prior posts in the forums. Visa Journey is a shared experiential site so that others can benefit from the information we share even after we have completed that part of the process.

If you are talking about the information that is contained in your About You that includes the timelines that shows up on each of your posts, and that is what you are not able to remove, then there may be a problem and I will ask the administrator to take a look. You should be able to access it by the method I outlined above, then using your browser highlight the whole content and press the cut button or delete button. If that is not what is working, then yes, the administrator needs to check it out.

Scroll down to where you can select the words (where you typed the info in) and delete. Don't forget to "save changes"

You could also choose the 'Edit Signature' from the options list - it could be that the information you have listed that shows up on every post isn't in your 'about me' page but in your 'signature' link. In fact, now that I look, your information that shows up in your post comes below the pale blue line. The pale blue line separates your post from your signature, so Edit your Signature and that will be able to remove the information from each posts (if that is what you are indeed trying to do).
