Don't give up Jen put in another service request..keep calling USCIS. I believe you said your congressman/senator said you will hear from USCIS in two weeks so why is it taking so long?

Hi, keep up hope. Our case was touched on OCT 5 & 6th. However we came to know that approval is done by 10/15 or so by a letter. Our case is still showing in "review" as far as the web site is concerned.

also I emailed my congressmans office on saturday and have to wait till today or whenever they decide to reply, but no clue if they know anything different, so I have done everything I can do for the moment and I'm pretty fed up...

Couldnt resist getting online and having a peek at how everyone was getting on.

Congrats to all those who have got their NOA2. My husband still hasnt got our RFE letter in the post, so we still dont know what it is USCIS need from us, but we really think it is the stupid lawyers who didnt put his divorce decree in. And we've paid these people about $3000! Wish we hadnt bothered.

Jen, so sorry you havent heard anything yet. It sucks, it really does.

Minted7...you are getting an RFE too? Any idea what evidence they will ask for? Isnt it horrible when you know it puts you back in the process :(

By the way, could someone PLEASE tell me exactly what is in the NOA2 hard copy letter thats sent in the post. The reason I am asking is that my kids and I are going to visit my hubby in the States for 6 weeks on Saturday, and I was hoping if we got approval I would have had the letter by now and acted on it. As it is, if we get approved I will have to get someone to come in, pick it up and post it to me in the US, and I wonder how big the letter is and what it contains? I'm presuming I will need to have it, because I dont want it sitting on the mat for 6 weeks and holding us up again!

Thanks in advance

USCIS

05.1.11 - SIF and CC for my case only. Get RFE for my 2 sons as lawyer made ANOTHER mistake and made errors on I-864's for the children.

14.11.11 - Corrected paperwork entered on system according to AVR

17.1.11 - Medicals done

27.1.11 - My husband calls his senator's office and asks for help to get things moving.

31.1.11 - Finally got SIF for my sons!

Yeah I'm getting an RFE too, sucks. I personally think they will ask for the G-325A Biographic Data for my hubby and his pic because I never sent that in. And also some bonafide stuff. I'm hoping not one like Sam_Onlines. I don't have chat room convos saved. I have:

-Pics of us

-pics of our wedding

-wedding dvd

-airlines boarding passes

-letters to each other

-bank account together in canada

-some phone records, i have pay as you go and it only lets me go back 6 months, so to april AND i don't have from july - oct because 8i was visiting him. But I have my parents calling me.

-letters from people wishing us congrats on our wedding.

You guys think this is good? Oh lord this is stressful. My dad was telling me not to worry because I have wedding pics and guests were there and why would someone pay for a wedding if it was fake. So I'll keep praying.

Think? It's required and it says as much in the instructions for filing the I-130. Your evidence looks fine, but please read the instructions. You can't send any digital media(DVD).

We are in the same boat and it's becoming very frustrating with this long wait. How come H-1b's can get their spouses immediately on H-4 visa and it takes citizens 8-9 grueling months of waiting before they get united?????

We were initially thinking of filing for K-3 but my attorney had advised against K-3 visa as it almost always gets converted to CR1 with USCIS's new policy....

What do you request your Senator to escalate your case? There are elections in progress in California and I am not sure if the Senator's office would be that responsive.
