I HATE effing lawyers!

So, sent an email to mine y-day just to say, nothing happening on my petition, could it be because they are waiting for the I-130 to come back from NVC?

She replies--

Yes, they will have to order your file from NVC, this may cause a delay. Please contact me in 3 months if you have not gotten any additional updates. We can check on it then.

#######??? THREE MONTHS???

So, I phoned USCIS. The friendly man Joshua there told me to phone NVC. The nice lady at NVC told me to send an email to NVCInquiry requesting it be sent back, and she gave me the format to put it in. Should the effing lawyer not know this stuff? I could have/should have sent that email a MONTH ago!!! mad.gifmad.gifmad.gif

It seems as the ones of us who used lawyers have more problems than the ones who didn't  You would think lawyers know this kind of stuff and that they understand that you are stressed and don't have all the time in the world. Mine surely doesn't seem stressed at all! :bonk:

My I-130 was sent to NVC also. I received the forms to pay the fee for consular processing and the case number with NVC it was right after I sent in my AOS. Guess what I went online to the address they had and updated my information on the email and requested them to send back to USCIS my I-130. NVC sent an email saying that they would do that at the request of USCIS. So I am really lost :rofl:NVC says to wait for USCIS to request and here it is USCIS telling you to request a transfer ..... we won't know for sure LOL

I think that is good idea. Lawyers don't come cheap and cost a lot. Unless there is a complicated case which requires a quailified lawyer to do the job right there is no need for them. I have spent a couple of hundred of dollars before to look for advise from them and most of ones I talked to had no idea what I was asking or gave the wrong advise :whistle:

What do you mean when you say 130 was sent to NVC (nat'l visa center right?)

So your case number for 130 doesn't start with MSC XXXXXXX  ?

And this has happened to more than one of you? Why would they do that? :bonk:

I am a spouse of LPR not a USC. My I-130 was filed alone on AUG 2006 and approved March 2010. Then I sent my AOS in May 2010 when my visa number became current. I think USCIS sent it there because they though maybe I was not here anymore. You should not have a problem like that unless you filed I-130 alone and planned to do consular processing, but later changed your mind to do AOS instead.

I sent my RFE and my case has resumed processing :luv: that's my update. Good luck to all of us.

Nice! Congrats!

Hoppla - BTW, I asked the guy while I was talking to him about the medical exam about the tax documents, and he said that I should write it down and explain why - and if the officer wasn't satisfied, then he'd send a request for secondary evidence. I asked him about sending transcripts, a not explaining what's up, and he said that it was up to the officer again to be satisfied re: evidence. So not so helpful, but I can't think of any better evidence than the verification of non-filing from the IRS.

Speaking as a lawyer-to-be (provided I pass the bar in July - and dealing w/ all of this in the meantime is NOT helping) and as someone who worked in an immigration clinic, it's really difficult to keep on top of everything when you have so many clients and everyone thinks their case is the one you should be working on next. Also knowing how frustrating it is not to have the person do what you want as soon as you want, I understand how annoying it is to be that person waiting on the lawyer. Just saying, it's not easy to be the lawyer either - and if you stressed about each of your client's cases as much as the client did, you'd have a heart attack before you're 30.

Thanks a lot for your assistance I will try that Saturday morning, got to stay home with the boy while the wife works. I had an interview for a JOB today. I taking interview so I can start as soon as I receive my EAD. It went well.
