Why, do people in the US who demonstrate in favor of immigration reform (i.e. amnesty etc.), show up to their demonstrations waving flags from other countries? Exactly what message are they trying to deliver? The following photos all had captions that says they were from demonstrations on US soil. What are these people trying to say? We are Mexicans (or Ecuadorans) who support American immigration reform? I understand being proud of your heritage but I think it is a little like waving a confederate flag at an Obama rally. Definitely sends the wrong message.

If you listen to a lot of the rhetoric of activist groups like La Raza and others, they want to purposefully invade the southern US and eventually reclaim it.... So it makes sense.

These people have basically in their own way declared war on the United States, and the government refuses to do anything about it. - The activist immigrants are patient, just like the middle east is patient. You wait for the right opportunity and then you strike before the enemy knows what hit them.

They will fill up the southwest, wait for Congress to give another amnesty and take over politicly. It is called beating us at our own game.

Actually this was a big PR screw-up (foreign flags) at amnesty rallies during the last push for "reform", since then the word has gotten out to leave those flags home and bring American flags,

Thats why you don't see nearly the number of foreign flags at these rallies anymore.

For me there is nothing unusual or wrong in people being proud of their country and flying their flags.......however it's kinda stupid to do it while you are trying to convince America you came her to be "Americans" rather than to make money.

.... Not that there is anything wrong with coming to make money... just do it under our system.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

That is at best disingenuous. What exactly can the US government do about the opinions of an extremist group who believe they have a legitimate claim over a portion of the US?

Are you seriously suggesting there is a correlation between muslim terrorism and La Raza? Or is this simply inflammatory rhetoric?

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

True only of the natives of North and South America. Eskimoes, Mayan, Aztec, a long list of American tribes et al can claim this. The others are posers along for the ride. It's a pretty good bet that most of those that vocalize this protest have European ancestors. Who's your Daddy??? headbonk.gif

If in fact it were true that lands were stolen from Mexican peoples, what rights would that give say people from Peru to come and "repossess" the land,,,,, unless similar shade of skin gives one entitlement?

It would be interesting to know if there are "any" places in the world where the "current" inhabitants can claim sole historic rights to that area.

Reasonable people do not support violent thugs.

So why do you and Cleo adamantly support a demographic that commits ~2700% more homicides than an entire country?
