I read that as "There's nothing stopping this woman, d/o this man, carrying this passport, from going to America." Take out all the extra jumble and it's "There's nothing stopping this woman from going to America."

But, of course, I have no experience with Indian PCCs.

I submitted the document from India with the same wording to NVC. The wording is fine. It's the standard text that is given to everyone that applies for one from India. Hope this helps.

Also make sure the spellings of the names of people and cities are correct on your certificates. People have got RFEs for that.

Someone got an RFE here because not all the names used by the person were mentioned on the certificate. It was the local police station PCC though.

The passport office certificate would take its information from the passport so they would only list the current name, I suppose.

Another curiosity with the Indian PCC from the passport office was: it was a size A4 but had two identical certificates on the upper and lower part of the paper. I have sent in the whole sheet.

Thanks, "TheMatrix"... in our case, our passport was issued on 2/16/2010.

The passport clearance certificate that has her married name

The local police clearance certificate that as her married name.

We are in less than 6months scenario where only PCC from passport office and PCC from Local is required.

Nearing the end of the work day (here on the east coast) with no interview e-mails and only one CC for the week.

They're missing averages by gross amounts.

Broke down and called. Even though I said I was going to wait til Friday. I got thru on the first try, and was on hold for less than a minute. The nice operator said they were still working on interviews and would probably be Monday before they were complete. So I won't call back til Monday - maybe . . .

TO INDIAN members here - VERY URGENT---- PLEASE RESPOND

My wife PCC from passport has the following information -

"There is nothing adverse information against "Wife name" d/o "Father Name", the holder of Indian passport number issued on DATE at city, which would render her ineligible for grant of travel facilities including visa for USA."

Is this correct? PLEASE RESPOND.

No email for me yet - NVC operator doesn't have any info yet, and of course, AVR hasn't been updated....

HOWEVER...

One single package was shipped via DHL from NVC to London today - I know without a doubt it's ours!!
