My mother in law got her visitors visa last week  . She will be coming to vist me during the time that I have the baby. This is such a blessing to have someone from my husbands family here during the time our son is born.

Though hubby is happy for his mother to be here he is upset that he will not be here to witness the birth himself. I have been trying to think of ways to include him in the birth (skype and video recording) I dont understand why the USCIS is moving sooooo slowly  with CR1 applications. We mailed the applicdation April 15, 2010 and still no NOA2  !!! That is almost 5 months, I guess we will have to wait until the 5 month mark to inquire. I hope that he will be here by Christmas.... :help: Any suggestions or advice on how to survive the LONG wait is TRULY appreciated

Just called the USCIS and was advised that I should contact them again in 30days  ...??? Said that the CSC is moving slowly and that it could be 6 months and not 5 as stated on their site. I then chose to request an expedite..... Agent advised that I should hear from them with in 5days regarding the expedite. SO I AM PRAYING :innocent: that they go ahead and feel sorry for me and send me the NOA2!

That expedite can take the same 30 days. The 5 days is for them to notify you of any information needed for the expedite. The CSC is now moving like pond water. I hate that it has just all of a sudden slowed up. I have an expedite request as well so i will let everyone know how that goes.

I feel everyone's pain here and frustrations. I'm glad someone finally got a straight answer from CSC but it's still pretty sucky news :-( At this rate it's looking like after the New Year's for happy visa times :-(

It looks that way but CSC is totally backed up and like koaxaca1 has said the news i'm getting is not good at all on processing times. If most didn't realize CSC is at 6 months processing time right now. I talked with my contact and they are still trying to get through March at this time.

Yeah but what they post and what is happening is two different things. Even the CSR's don't believe the 5 month time right now for CSC.
