Congrats to those approved. My interview is on Thursday, just putting the finishing touches to my photo albums, which they probably won't look at since it cost me a fortune!

We actually had about 10 photos with us, some from wedding, some random. The IO took the wedding photos and put it in her files. Depends on the IO though.

Its a gamble, but maybe your right, maybe waiting for the whole thing and then submitting it all together could have taken later then getting a RFE and submitting it now. Well be sure to go to a civil

I got APPROVED! My interview was at 11:00 am. We got there around 10:45, went through the security. The guards found a scissor in Nana's purse. They asked her why she had it, she told them it for cutting coupons. She flirted with the old guards and was able to take the scissor with her. We waited till probably 11:25 for our names to be called. The interview itself lasted less than 10 minutes. All she asked for my was passport and documents showing joint assets and liabilities. That was it.

She told me I would get my green card in about 2 weeks. All that paperwork and anxiety for a 10 minute interview. Glad it's finally over.

We got the greencard yesterday evening!

97 days from the day we sent the paperwork off. I have to say, that's pretty efficient for a bureaucracy.

However, we received several updates to the I-485 from approval on June 30 until receiving the GC, all saying the same thing. "On July 1, On July 5, On July 9, On July 12, On July 14 we sent a letter of approval for your application . . ." or something to that effect. Totally inefficient.

AOS Timeline

4/14/10 - Packet received at Chicago Lockbox at 9:22 AM (Day 1)

4/24/10 - Received hardcopy NOAs (Day 10)

5/14/10 - Biometrics taken. (Day 31)

5/29/10 - Interview letter received 6/30 at 10:30 (Day 46)

6/30/10 - Interview: 10:30 (Day 77) APPROVED!!!

6/30/10 - EAD received in the mail

7/19/10 - GC in hand! (Day 96) .

Wow guys, we are all coming into the home stretch! Thanks Krys for the update that everyone has their IL. I think our crew did very well, a few bumps and bruises but we have done a great job over all. FX for 100% approval for the APRIL FILERS! :)

Those with upcoming interviews.. try and relax :blink: I know easier said than done!

How long after the production notice did it take to get your card? My hubby has a job waiting for him. Thanks guys.

How long after the production notice did it take to get your card? My hubby has a job waiting for him. Thanks guys.

u mean after u get the approval email? well on the 14th i got the email:

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On July 14, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION.

meaning they sent the card and I got it 2 days ltr on the 17th.

Monday i went into SS office, and now am waiting for the card, so that adds to the wait a little bit so when u get the EAD card go to the SS office ASAP! and go early, atleast here ther's less ppl

but hang in there :)

Good luck. Job situation really sucks right now. Can't find any good jobs. Being broke is not fun.

Tell me about it! I'm so bored at home these days... I miss being my independant self :crying:. I'm truly happy and grateful that my hubby has been able to support us, but I sure miss pampering myself (nails, toes, hair, shopping). Everything in due time I guess :thumbs:.

Since yesterday it's crazy around my desk! piles of paper, printing picture, etc...

Do you guys think that i should bring the guest list of our ceremony with us? It will be on August 21st and It's 86 people coming to see us while they all know we're already married, i think that could be good proof of bona fide marriage, right?

also, do you think it will be suspicious if i change the name in the title of the car this week ? our interview is on Friday, but i got my licence only last week, so i don't know....

Let me know what you guys think!

I don't think it would be suspicious. I got a joint account with my wife not long before the interview. My IO did not really look at anything, just took the papers and pictures and said congratulation. She was kinda in a cranky mood. You should be fine. Its not necessary to bring the guest list, most likely they won't ask for it.

thank you for your input! then I'll go to DMV tomorrow to get it fixed (add me on the title).

As for the guest list, you are probably right, but i guess i'm gonna take it anyway... One of my friends got approved yesterday and she couldn't stop saying "take everything but the kitchen sink! " heart.gif haha! that made me laugh! but it's probably better to take too much and be asked for nothing, than the other way around.
