Hmmm I don't know how could I do that though.

We'll have to move in with my in-laws once we get there, then after getting jobs we'll find a place to rent.

- I'm so ready to have our own place

I only decorated enough to make it look like it was home though, the rest is hers to do :) She's gonna be too busy to worry about decorating for the first month or two tho  hahha!!

I'm grateful they are receiving us but so tired to live with parents. We have been living with my mom for 9 months already, and will have to live with in-laws for a few months too. Argh!!!

I wanna have my own place! And yes! I can't wait to be able to buy all new stuff for our home! Matt hates decorating, so I'll do whatever I want!! hehe

I live in a very big house, good we live alone, sometimes this house seems to be to big for me lol, specially since I have to go to the basement to the washing machines, to our room, second floor lol. I was use to live in apartments in Europe, which this is a lot better. I like here so far, but It is also lots of things to clean too lol...

The MMR vaccination is Rs. 116.

And Tat, for India, they don't really accept anything from anyone else.

I took a note from my pediatrician who is quite a reputed doctor in Calcutta. The doctor who did my medical said it did't matter and that it was not good enough for U.S. immigration. Because India is a corrupt country, they are unwilling to accept anything from some place else not designated by the U.S. Consular Affairs in India.

Seriously, you're stressing out over nothing. It'll be no more thann $100 for the whole thing. It's not like they will make him take ALL the shots on the list. Just one or two which would age appropriate for him.

I agree with the whole money saving thing. Why did it take a month for the results? Should I be worried?

No, sweetie. You shouldn't be worried. Sachi says they want everything done at the same place. You're doing the right thing.

Husby's results took a month because no one every requested the final report. It was in the computer waiting for the requesting physician's review. :bonk: That's just how they do it there, I guess. Very different from here where the hospital lab runs the test, sends the final report to the right floor/nurses's station and the doc has to find it there. These weren't the medical exam results, though. They were just the results of his titers to check if he was immune to certain diseases. If he was, then it means he received that vaccination already.

You're doing it right already, hon, by having everything done in the same place. You'll be fine.

Well when I was visiting my hubby amont the things I forgot at his place were two pairs of underwear and socks. He asked me if he should take my underwear to the intervew

You know... one of the CNAs I used to work with was from El Salvador. I don't know if they're very strict there or if she had a Stokes interview. But they interviewed both her and her husband. They asked both of them, "What color panties is The Missus wearing today?" I guess they wanted to see if they really were living together/knew each other. I don't know. So maybe bringing them wouldn't hurt. Of course, how would he prove they were yours without photographic evidence. Boys!

So, any thoughts?

Looks good! Maybe evidence of him looking for a job in the US? A screenshot of his resume on Monster.com or something like that? Those are good ties, though.

Natalia--How about a lease agreement with your in-laws. Just something on paper. Or a letter from them stating that you will be living with them for the first couple of months and will then get your own place.

Hi Guys,

I went to collect my medical report today, but the Doctor who attended me is on leave today and his signature is pending in my report....So they asked me to come tomorrow to collect it....One good thing, I didnt took any cover to carry the document thinking that they will put it in a cover and deliver, but its not in that way....Just a big envelope which contains out X-ray, medical report and Vaccination record is given to us....So people who are planned to do medical in Apollo, dont fail to take a king size cover with u to collect the report and also the report is not sealed as many of us expected to be.....So tomorrow I have to go again to collect my report....

I'm kinda jealous your medicals are so "cheap". Mine is going to be about $300, barring that I need any shots. Which I shouldn't...but you never know.

I'm back in Sweden now by the way, so reality really set in. Medical in 5 days and interview in 11. So scary!

Good news - Hopefully (tickets are booked, just make sure to give me a visa!) POE JFK May 29th 1.50pm EST!!
