HI GUYS

I STARTED THE THREAD BECAUSE , I JUST HANG OUT HERE EVERYDAY. I AM JUST LIKE MOST VJ'S . I CAN'T WAIT TO GET APPROVED. I JUST MAILED MY I-129 IN JULY AND I JUST GOT THE CSC JITTERS BECAUSE I KNOW I HAVE AT LEAST A 2MONTH WAIT. I REALLY DID NOT WANT TO READ THE REPLIES OF PEOPLE WHO SIMPLY WANT TO INSULT OTHERS OR THE AMERICAN PROCESS. BY THE WAY , I AM FEMALE SO I DEFINITELY AM NOT TRYING TO IMPORT A WIFE OR A HUSBAND. (JUST THE LOVE OF MY LIFE)

May 2005 Finally Made first visit

May 2006 Second visit

]uly 17, 2006 mailed I-129F to TSC

July 18, 2006 received delivery notification from USPS

July 21, 2006 NOA1 mailed from CSC

July 26, 2006 NOA1 received from CSC

Oct 20, 2006 NOA2

Nov 15 2006 Left NVC

Mar 1 2007 Interview Date

Mar 6 2007 Visa Granted

Mar 17 2007 JfK POE (enjoyed NY for a week)

Mar 25 2007 Arrived in the my cityb]

I don't know about anyone else...

but I happened to actually fall in love with an Englishman...I didn't choose it per say.

If it wasn't love in my case then I wouldn't go through with it. We have been going back and forth for over 2 years now and I'd love to change the situation. Matter of fact I am..we are getting married.

Personally it isn't about what country they are from it is about the individual.

WOW you are something else Asante. I (we) am far from rich (financially that is - we are rich in more important ways that have nothing to do with cash). In fact we pretty much live from paycheck to paycheck. . IF is WAS financially rich I think I would get rid of this 89 pontiac that I am driving (or sometimes pushing and then quite one of my two jobs).

I know many people have next to nothing and we here in the states take alot for granted - I know, I travel pretty much all over the world, how I met my now beautiful wife - not because I am rich but because it is a req of my job but to say tht we here on VJ are rich might be a little of an exageration - my opinion.

That means you have not done an I-134 as of yet! Lets see what poor person can afford to uproot someone from elsewhere and surplant them in the US!!!!

I'm not rich.

I was a college student when I filed and many here know how poor we are!

and plus, gettng approved at the USCIS level has nothing to do with being rich or not.

They don't ask for any financial records.

10Yr GC arrived 07/02/09 - Naturalization is next

And now the drama ends - they took the Green card . . .

I sent my I-129 in July as well and I am not feeling nervous about all these people getting approvals.

It actually makes me feel a lot better as it means that mine has to be close.

There are all sorts of situations that pop up but I can assure you we (you and I) are lucky as we didn't get held up with this imbra stuff like many other couples. Chin up.

I think denials are rare because K-1 visas are used mainly by rich USCs. So they often get approved. Dont get me started on the bias for rich peeps in the US...Mel Gibson style.

Anyone rich enough to import a spouse is rich if you ask me. Ordinary folk are lucky to own anything imported, let alone a spouse!

I doubt you´ll see denials in a forum where people are seem so true about their intentions. Any phony would end up leaving after all our cries of TROLL!!! and we wouldn´t see their denials. :P

Everyone, in case you haven't noticed, this Asante character is in every Topic posting flaming messages, without ever contributing any constructive information or feedback.

He/she (though by some misoginist coments posted in the past, I asume it's a he) must have a very boring life.

Ignore him, or else you're just feeding his whatever enjoyment he gets out of upsetting the people who are here for a legitimate reason.

May 9th Sent I-129 petition

May 16th NOA1 telling us they sent our case to California Service Center

June 23rd IMBRA RFE

Sept. 5th NOA2!!!!

Dec. 12th Interview at Consulate APPROVED!!!

Dec. 14th Visa received

2007

March 19th Move to the US!

AOS

June 15th Sent AOS and AED package

June 25th NOA1s for AOS and AED

July 21st Appointment for Biometrics

July 24th RFE (co-sponsor's passport copy) sent back

Sept. 10th EAD aproved

Sept. 12th EAD card received in the mail

Oct. 9th AOS Interview. APPROVED!!!

Oct. 19th GREEN CARD received!!

126 days!!!

When you get approved You will def. get my congrats!! Even if some people think it is boring. I never get tired of hearing of people getting approved and just wished I could congradulate all of them because it is truly a great step forward and a good acknowledgement that you are making progress. I hope we hear more approvals to keep with the context of this thread.

Are you kidding?

First, you dont IMPORT a spouse let alone OWN one!!!! What kind of person are you!!??.

Second, you have to make 25% more than the basic poverty line to qulify..that is far from rich. Fees are nominal compared to grocery shopping and gas. The rich get in on business visas, not K1's which should be for noone but those who have established and honest relationships, as VJers clearly demonstrate. I agree, denials are probably rare...those folks just overstay other types of visas, or they are probably not on a forum like this.

But money? You are barking to the wrong crowd. Not an issue here...dont make it one.

2 March 2006: NOA1 dated (received in mail on 9 March 2006)

4 May 2006: NOA2!!!!! (DAY 66)

8 May 2006: File Sent to NVC (as stated on email dated 9 May)

24 May 2006: NVC sends our file to London Embassy

8 June 2006: Packet 3 arrives (DAY 101)

25 August 2006: Pack 3 sent to London Embassy registered post

29 August 2006: London Embassy receives my Pack 3 - 9/9/06 pack 4 arrives

SEPT 2006:APPLICATION PUT ON HOLD - WE HAD A FALLING OUT.

MAY 2007:RESUMED THE VISA APPLICATION

6 June 2007: Medical @ 2.30pm - need to get anew GP letter and psychiatric evaluation

7 June 2007: INTERVIEW @ 10am - waiting for new police record letter

3 July 2007: APPROVED/Visa arrives
