Harry Reid's Wife And Daughter Hospitalized After Car Accident

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's (D-NV) wife and daughter have been hospitalized with "non-life threatening" injuries after a serious car accident, according to a statement from Reid's office.

Reid's wife, Landra, and his daughter, Lana, were rear-ended by a semi-truck while driving on a D.C. highway, and have been hospitalized for injuries in the Washington area.

Landra Reid sustained a broken neck, back, and nose as a result of the accident, and Lana Reid suffered a neck injury and facial lacerations. None of the injuries are life-threatening.

Sen. Reid is currently with his family at the hospital.

Oddly enough this sad news story for some reason made me recall that Old parody about Liberals buying tinny cars... to the tune of "in the Ghetto" by Elvis.

I'll post the vid but it is not meant to poke fun at the victims of this accident. (Though the sensitive will surely take it that way)

Actually danno family size cars are safer than trucks. Had that 18 wheeler hit a tuck it would have burst into flames.

Like the advocacy of guns, you guys pick scenarios that suit your agenda and refuse to acknowledge those that do not. Guess what happens when a pickup hits another pickup? Just go to your local cemetery to find out. Only now in the past four or five years have pickups and SUVs finally started to become safe. Anything prior to that is a death trap.
