Definitely #1. More flattering, romantic, and the pose and b/w give it a classy and nostalgic feel :)

Nessa just gave you what you requested, the expected snarky comment. Any further questions?

oh, haha. I forgot about that; it's a one-liner that I always post before posting in the Seattle LJ (livejournal) group because they regularly eat people alive and posting that sort of thing helps appease them. I don't usually post in OT but know this forum can be a bit like that too and was just covering my bases; guess I forgot... :bonk:

#1

two things

- yes, maybe one where they can see your eyes :)

- black and white/sepia photos with a frame always look like funeral photos to me

other than that, cute not show-off

Perhaps I am old fashion, but prefer the one on the right so people can recognize your faces. We didn't send out photos of our invitation, but hundreds were taken during our wedding and reception. Our AOS officer enjoyed looking at them and we were kissing in some of the photos.

#1 of the two. I think when people receive it they'd say "aww, aren't they cute?". :)

They try to eat people alive here too, I think you were wise to try to cover your bases.

I don't think Nessa was being snarky. She often favors economy of phrasing that may appear to be--er--lacking tact in some instances, tho.

Regarding the pics, I like #2 because it looks real and informal, and you're both grinning. #1, while certainly classic (some might say cliche--sorry!), has a more formal, posed feel to it. I think I might be a bit unusual in that I don't really like formal, posed photography generally. I think a more natural set-up makes a better and more genuine picture. But I see I'm in the minority here.

They're both nice shots!

I like the first one, though personally I would not have pictures on my wedding invitation at all. I'd save the photos for the "Thank you" notes after the wedding but that's just me. Other than that I like the first photo better. :)
