Hey all,

Quick question, I am waiting for my petition to be approved and up until two days ago I was working two jobs. I got an offer from my second job willing to give me more hours so I dropped the first one. So on my 129f forms I have both of these jobs listed as current occupations. Now I went on the USCIS website and saw info to contact them for an address change while this process was going on but nothing about a job change.

Is there some way to inform them about leaving one of my jobs or is there no need to.

Thanks a bunch!

No need to make corrections regarding employment change at this step of the game. I WOULD prepare a new G-325A form to bring with you to the interview and be sure that your letter of employment shows your additional hours and increase in wage (especially if you are close on the income -vs- 125% of poverty level.

No need to update USCIS on this. You'll be stating your current employment again in your affidavit of support that will be evaluated by a Consular officer.

Well I thought the 125% poverty level was only for the USC?

So you're the beneficiary? What you're doing job-wise has no bearing at all on your petition. As Alan said, just complete a new G-325A form to take with you to the interview.

Timeline Summary:

K-1/K-2 NOA1 - POE: 9 February - 9 July 2010

Married: 17 July 2010

AOS mailed - Interview : 22 November 2010 - 10 March 2011

ROC mailed - approved: 14 February - 18 June 2013

Citizenship mailed - ceremony: 9 February - 7 June 2017

There's no need to take a form to the interview. You'll be submitting another G-325A when you apply for adjustment of status so it will be updated then. Your form was accurate AT THE TIME YOU DATED IT. It's like expecting you to update them anytime you take money out of your bank account (or your sponsor does)... it's simply not needed. Plus you'll be leaving the other job when you get the K1, are you going to send them something then too? It's just not needed. Don't waste your time.

It is. When you don't give enough information, you get wrong answers. As the beneficiary, this is a non-issue.

Well forgive me I thought I did have enough information. I figured this would be a non issue since I am the beneficiary.

Thanks.
